The director certainly knows how to control big action scenes as evidenced in the likes of Breakdown and U-571 yet the the scriptwriters have lost the plot when it comes to. plot, and there is far too much parody, turning Arnie into a caricature, like he is in the Simpsons.
This just doesn't feel like a Terminator movie. It's more like a cover version, say The Datsuns covering an AC/DC song.
Some of Arnie's lines are so bad such as `It's time', `I'm back' and, probably the most embarrassing part in the film, when he tells a guy at a checkout `talk to the hand'.
We knew it was coming, we knew it was never gonna be as good as part 2, and it isn't.
