One for the sewers
25 November 2001
Based on R2 DVD

Jumpy drug squad detective Boomer quits the Chicago police force after seeing his mentor die. While heading north to meet his girlfriend he is ambushed, mugged and robbed on a lonely road. He is picked up by Flash (Joe Pantoliano) and thus begins the manhunt based on Boomers voice sounding remarkably like FBI Agent James. Ultra deep cover Agent James has some secrets on a computer chip that both the FBI and lots of bad guys want.

Boomer, an ex-cop, never considers going to the police which makes zero sense. There are threads of karma running thru the movie but it's a shallow attempt to give it some depth. Several good shootouts and lots of blood and gore might be enough for some.

All the interesting characters seem to get killed quickly, Pantolinaos' Flash is a case in point. Boomer has a fondness for crawling into sewers, this movie should follow him.
