The Love Letter was supposed to be a romantic comedy. Yet it is totally unfunny and has a terribly unhappy ending. I tried to like this movie. Really! But I still found myself walking out of this movie wishing that I had not bothered. The directing and editing both needed work. The movies only saving grace could have been Tom Selleck, one of my favorite performers and perfectly cast as the local fireman, but he is totally wasted in his role. I give it a 3, but thats pushing it.
