The sequel to the first Mortal Kombat game can not be compared to the original in any way. It totally takes away any character development the first one had and made it one long fight movie with LOUD techno music. Don't get me wrong; I had fun watching this movie because of the soundtrack that was present. I still listen to the soundtrack with me feet tappin (well, sort of). It had enormous potential, but like so many other sequels in any genre, it did not have an original script to go along with it. Anyway, it is enjoyable on some level but don't expect a lot. Trust me.
