TROUBLESOME SCREWBALL COMEDY
3 June 1999
Nice try, but troublesome comedy that never gets off the ground despite the main cast that has fun. It aims at being a modern variation of the screwball comedy, but it misses the much needed flair and good comedy timing - director Hormann is very insecure in the mise-en-scene - and a script that surprises. Quite some scenes are simply too muddled and after half the film is over the end seems a long way off.
