Great to see John Wayne and Roy Rogers in the same film

This film traces the story of the rise of William Cantrell (Walter Pidgeon) of Cantrell's Raiders fame in the American Civil War, and his subsequent demise at the hands of Bob Sefton (John Wayne), ably supported by Roy Rogers and Gabby Hayes. The film is not exceptional in any way other than its cast list, which reads like a "who's who" of Western Stars.
