Dark: Das Paradies (2020)
Took me a while
At first I was slightly disappointed, but trust me, take the time to think about all the themes and it all comes together. The whole point was that because of Jonas and Martha (Adam and Eve) constantly playing a game of lies and deception they preserved a nightmare world of lies and deception. Once they finally made peace with one another and understood that scheming and fighting wasn't the way (especially once Adam understood that) he (Adam) was able to guide his past self to stop the loop. As for how Claudia figured it out, it is implied that in each loop slight things changed (she actually explicitly says this in her monologue), each time it was slightly different. And eventually enough things changed so that Claudia ended up figuring it out. And in the end going back to the theme taunhaus and his son make peace with each other instead of his son storming off in an argument. And Jonas and Martha were guardian angels, a "whisper", a "dream", a message to the son to trust and love his dad, an omen from the universe. In the end the loop was in a way a dream, not really, but in a way yes. It's remnants guided people in the right direction instead of taking the path of hate. And what was left over where little things and deja vu. It also makes sense that all the characters said what we know is a drop, what we don't is an ocean, because taunhaus said that all the time to his son, the world of dark is almost like a figment of imagination, sprung from the life of taunhaus and his son. This is also why taunhaus's book is in the universe, he wrote it in the origin world. Sorry I prolly spelled taunhaus wrong.
Hannibal: Mizumono (2014)
Great, but not as great as people think (IMO)
The whole second half of the season was kinda confusing, I thought they would bring it all together in this finale, but they didn't entirely. Also pretty much every character supposedly dies so the deaths didn't have impact because first of all, I didn't really care about most of them, and second of all I know they aren't all true deaths. This all being said though, Hannibal is quality tv and it's still a decent ending, I was just hoping for more, season 1 was better.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Lights Out (2020)
B99 isn't the same
This episode was good, but only because I'm invested in Jake and Amy. The jokes just feel off, they don't really land. Ever since the network switch B99 has not been the same, it's still entertaining, but I hope they can up the quality in season 8. That being said I still enjoyed the episode
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013)
Amazing
I was stuck in quarantine wondering what to watch when I came across b99. It is hilarious and entertaining. The first five seasons are some of the best seasons of sitcom television ever. The only reason it doesn't get a 10 is because 6 and 7 are mediocre, they are still worth watching in my mind, but they aren't as good.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Manhunter (2020)
Boring
It isn't horrible and I will still finish the show, but the comedy just falls flat. Season 6 also wasn't as funny but there were still some funny episodes, I hope this season gets funnier as it goes on like season 6 did (except for the final 2 episodes those were also boring).
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Best Marvel Movie Ever, But Watch First Iron Man and Cap beforehand
It's just great, I don't want to spoil anything, just trust me. But to make it even better, watch the first iron man and captain America: the first avenger again if you already have or for the first time (and obviously you have to have seen infinity war, but you don't need to rewatch it if you have already seen it)
Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
Don't bother with GOT anymore, watch Avengers: Endgame
I used to love game of thrones, it was written so beautifully. After season 6 they were setting up for an incredible 2 seasons, but then...the writing suddenly got lazy and bad. Even more so in season 8. Season 8 was good until "The Long Knight", but even then they could have still redeemed it. But no, they decided to become even lazier and write a terrible episode riddled with plot-holes where characters make decisions they would never actually make. That being said, Game of Thrones is still ok compared to most tv shows. It's basically a regular cable tv show with a gargantuan budget and great actors nowadays.
The Twilight Zone: The Comedian (2019)
Slow paced, but if you can wait, worth it
This review is going to be short, I don't have much to say except it was great for me. If you're the type of person who can handle some waiting, the comedian is great for you, if you aren't, you might want to try something else. But overall, great episode with a great premise, don't listen to bad reviews.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Amazing
Great storytelling, good acting, great plot, great effects, and almost always consistent in quality. The only seasons that weren't quite as consistent as the others were 5 and 7. But 5 has some redeeming qualities (Hardhome). 7 has good episodes but it seems like the show runners wanted to end the show quickly so it feels very rushed, the quality is as good as the other seasons but the pacing was terrible.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Great Story, Mediocre Execution
I'm going to start this off by making something clear, Captain Marvel is worth watching. Throughout this review I will criticize it a lot, but the movie itself really isn't that bad, it's a decent marvel movie, I was just expecting more.
The First reason why it was really disappointing was because it had a great story to work with but didn't do the story justice. If you ever watch the movie you'll see what I mean the story is a complicated war story that has many different parts, however the movie itself: the acting (except Samuel L Jackson), the directing, etc. were really mediocre.
First comes the acting, while the acting isn't necessarily bad it isn't good either. Bree Larson should've been better in the role of Captain Marvel. I actually think this was the fault of the directors read Larson is a quite a good actress but I don't think the way she approached the character( first comes the acting, while the acting isn't necessarily bad it isn't good either. Brie Larson should've been better in the role of Captain Marvel. I actually think this was the fault of the directors read Larson is quite a good actress but the way she approached the character (which was probably the way the directors told her to approach the character) felt kind of out of place sometimes. The character was quite bland and you didn't care much for her, and that is a huge reason why the movie was bland. There were many moments that would've been awesome if the character had been awesome, but the character wasn't awesome.
Also when it comes to just the execution of the movie there were many things that just didn't feel right. Oftentimes you didn't really care for any of the characters besides Nick Fury (who was awesome by the way). Also the movie had an extreme lack of tension expecially at the end. You didn't really care for any of the characters in the movie and you knew Nick Fury was going to survive because he had to be in avengers and other movies, so even when fights happened no tension happened. Also Captain Marvel eventually became so powerful there was literally no tension at all.
Alright, I've criticized the movie a lot, but again, it's still worth watching, and a perfectly decent movie that you should see.
