Awesome
4 May 2024
This is probably still the best movie to be based on a line of toys. In fact, it's pretty much based around the entire one company! How can they base one movie, on an entire company everything they've done?

The writing is clever thinking. Thinking about the company as a whole. What do they do? What is its purpose? Are there any problems with it? What media has it been involved with in the past? The aim of The LEGO Group is to spawn some creativity and fun, with no rules needed. Make the movie like a 100-minute commercial with a plot. It just has everything it needs - a hero's journey, epic climaxes with plastic-defying action, even Biblical implements, everything!

As for the animation, this is such an innovation. Lego has tried before to be stop-motion and CGI, it's such a contrasting challenge to mash the two up in the right way. But they managed to, in a such a way! And in the Lego World, everything seems to be made of Lego! Something that would challenge the film if it were entirely stop-motion. It even references the earliest Brickfilms, so true to the history. You see the texture of CGI-replicated plastic surfaces in nearly every shot (they looked hard at Lego with a microscope during design and animation so they could replicate exactly).

As for the music, such a first for its kind. Unique electronic sounds in its score, and cinematic orchestra intertwining with it. As for its theme, "Everything is Awesome" will probably never get old. It's so catchy you can play it or sing it in pretty much any occasion.

Amazing. You might it, a "Master-Piece".

just as good as MLP: FIM, as long as you are more concerned about the canon than the audience
22 July 2023
This series is just as good, if not better, than the previous generation! But why are they cancelling it I hear?

The cast may be different completely (I don't know why they had to recast it, but I enjoy hearing Robert Tinkler's vocal effects), but they still carry the characters' personalities well. The animation may not be as realistic as the movie and not as in-this-world as the previous series, but it's colourful and vivid, and shows that it's the same world but just evolved. The songs are AMAZING and honestly hard to stop listening to (especially those by AJ Bridel and Sofia Wylie), those enthusiastic vocal chords and electronic sound mixing is rev-olu-tionay (as Pipp Petals would say)! Some stuff is pretty questionable (especially one episode where a character's mother forces her children to annually sit still for hours, risking heart disease and cancer, so just be aware), but viewing overall it is a just-as-good-as-ever installment of the franchise.

So, what the issue with the show's history? It's the upcoming CANCELLATION, that's right, cancellation! And why is this? It's all because of a spin-off series "Tell Your Tale", which happens to be more popular with the targeted younger audience. What all wrong with this decision? Well, "Tell Your Tale" is actually set in the MLP Calarts universe (the same setting as the "Pony Life" series) rather than Canon Equestria, which means that the animation style is much worse (as well as bad messages, bad logic, ect.) and that they are at risk of abandoning the universe of "Friendship is Magic". If anything, they should cancel "Tell Your Tale", so that "Make Your Mark" can have the popularity it deserves. Although TYT was better than I expected (not complete rubbish, it was a funny comparison sometimes), it was nowhere near as good as MYM (the worst installment of the franchise I've seen, I'd even go as far as to say it was bad for kids) and is irrelevent since it is not canon!

What they should do, is make this series go for 9 seasons (just like FIM did), and then make a trilogy of movies (theatrical, I do not want Netflix to take over) that can explain the overall timeline of all canon MLP generations and reveal the MLP multiverse (which has at least 3 or 4 worlds at this point).

very clever, cool and funny
1 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I don't even like the franchise it's part of, and this movie is great! Really clever, cool, creative, well-paced and very funny. If you like Madagascar - it's for you, if you DON'T like Madagascar - watch it anyway, it's better than Madagascar! If you like spy movies - definitely for you, if you DON'T like spy movies, then... well, uh, I don't know. But it's great!

The ideas they played with for this movie they have really achieved! Pointing out how Private got the least role previously, and then giving him a backstory and a bigger role that explains his overall life. With knowledge that the penguins are arctic/aquatic spies, making new characters that build on that idea to fit into the penguins' world (eg. An aquatic mad scientist and an Antarctic intelligence agency). And especially as for the villain, they came with such a rare clever idea that really nails the perfect villain for this sort of movie. A Giant Pacific octopus named Dave (funny name sounds familiar, like Davy Jones) who has an army of octopi in a submarine and became a mad scientist for revenge on the penguins. He also has no bones allowing him to stretch and squash the shape of his body, special skin cells allowing him to change the colour and texture of his body (very few fictional octopi were actually depicted that way!) and a very human-like face (not accurate or factual, but has been depicted before like with Henry the Octopus) which all allow him to easily disguise as a human under the alias of Octavius Brine (Octavius like Otto Octavius, and Brine like an aquatic term) with very few disguises needed (at least for his face)! The couldn't choose between a human villain or animal villain, so just decided to do both in such a clever way! The animation and textures of Dave were also really impressive!

As for a great voice cast, Dave is voiced by none other than the distinctively funny voice of John Malkovich, not the first time he played a villain of espionage (remember Pascal Savage from Johnny English?). And also features Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Strange, Smaug etc.) and Ken Jeong ("My Little Pony" and "The Muppets"). Their humourous lines are always classic to remember (i.e. "leopard seals are nature's snakes! Wait, aren't snakes nature's snakes?", "Hugh, Jack, man the battle stations!" or "hot dogs are 70% actual dog!")

as for a soundtrack, Scottish composer Lorne Balfe (composer for the "Skylanders" franchise, known for his co-composing work with Hans Zimmer on movies like "Wallace & Gromit") really nails the score with great, fast-paced and cool espionage-styled themes full of jazz-rock combined. Antony Genn also sings Dave's cool and catchy theme song, and it's hard to stop listening to Pitbull's upbeat hip-hop theme song for the movie "Celebrate".

It's so hard to stop watching, I just need to re-watch it so much just to get my head around how they got their ideas, how it's all so smoothly paced, and the greatest thing about the story is its Biblical and somewhat Easter-like implements (like the sacrifice and resurrection, they even use eggs to symbolise new life). And every time you watch it, you also begin to realise its attention to tiny details that makes you want to watch even more!

So, if this review was helpful (I hope it didn't have too many spoilers if you haven't seen it before) then go see this movie! I'd say it's probably one of my favourite espionage movies (the others being "Johnny English" and "Looney Toons: Back In Action") and one of DreamWorks' best CGI movies!

for someone who hated MLP for the first 13 years of their life, this was actually pretty good!
29 October 2021
I hated My Little Pony for the first 13 years of my life, I would only watch it if I was pretending to like it as a joke. But then I saw this movie, and it was actually pretty good! The animation, messages, themes, textures, lighting, songs, it all seemed pleasing and much better than I expected. And as for voice acting, it starred James Marsden (from "Sonic the Hedgeheog" and "Enchanted"), Ken Jeong (from "Penguins of Madagascar" and "The Muppets") and Kimiko Glenn (from "Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse" and "Centaurworld"). This movie got me liking MLP since then and if you're interested in any of MLP then check out this movie at least. 'cause you probably won't like the rest of the franchise if you don't like this movie.

REALLY EPIC AND ACTION-PACKED!!!
25 August 2021
This is a very heroically epic and action-packed Western adventure war movie and the greatest Western movie I've ever seen so far!!! I highly recommend this movie!!!

And also, this movie has Gary James Cooper (this was released only a decade before he died). Yep, he's that man who Melvin Jerome Blank wanted to be like in "The Melvin Blank's Fix-It Shop Show". And Shelby Frederick Wooley, the voice of the greatest noise in the universe: THE WILHELM SCREAM!!!

I think Warner Brothers, the company that made this movie is the greatest American company and the 2nd-greatest company ever. I also think that this movie, along with Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory, Looney Toons: Back In Action and Space Jam are the greatest Warner Bros movies I've ever seen so far.

Pretty good movie, My 5th-favourite Sci-Fi movie and my 2nd-favourite Nickelodeon movie!
26 November 2020
This movie is great for the family and kids! It's my 5th-favourite Sci Fi movie just underneath "Star Wars", "Mr Bean", "Shaun The Sheep 2: Farmageddon" and "Space Jam". It's also my 2nd-favourite Nickelodeon movie just underneath "The Adventures Of Tintin: The Movie".

I used to love this and grew up with this for 8 years on VHS along with Space Jam and Thomas And The Fantastic All-Hailroad, then I hadn't seen it for 5 years when my VCR broke. When I saw it again 5 years later, it was actually pretty good!

The animation is good, it gives the style of a 3D video game. Those rube-Goldberg machines, gadgets, inventions and science-tech that Jimmy made are really futuristic-styled! Like a super-genius could have done it.

The characters are good, Jimmy's friends are hilarious, Carlton Wheezer is hilariously clumsy and Sheen Estevez is a nerdy Mexican who's OBSESSED with superheroes. I especially like Carl's line: "croissant" and Sheen's line: "I pee in the shower" HAHAHAHA!!! It stars most of the children played by adults, some Looney Toons actors and Franklin Windell Welker. The aliens very much remind me of Doctor Strangeglove and his sidekick Fishlips. Jimmy's dad also has great humour with his classic dad jokes "if all your friends were named Cliff, would you jump off them?".

The soundtrack is good! It's got good laser-like Sci Fi music that goes really well with a Science Fiction movie. It's got scary Science Fiction music for the aliens too. As for the songs, the best song has to be "Blitzkrieg Bop". And also has the movie's punk-rock theme and the song "We Got The Beat" (which is also in MLP).

Did you know that aliens have some possible evidence???...

Overall in conclusion, when this movie got nominated, I think it probably should have won.

Without a doubt, THE 3RD-GREATEST MOVIE IN THE HISTORY OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!!
12 November 2020
This movie is awesome! Terrific! I highly recommend it! It has to be the 2nd-best looney toons movie, the best spy drama movie, the best in the early 2000's, the 2nd-coolest movie and the 3rd-best movie ever! IT HAS TO BE!!!

The animation is awesomely realistic! The special effects is just as good! It looks so realistic and yet cartoon at the same time! The camera quality is done well and looks pretty new for its time!

The acting is well, very comedic and funny. Bugs and Daffy are just as good like always and Brendan Fraser says: "do you watch those movies? I'm in them when Brendan Fraser is"! HAHA!!! Stephanos Martin, a famous actor from cheaper by the dozen and The Muppets plays the evil villain and he's well disguised and portrays hilariously! Other evil looney toons are his little agent spy minions, not to forget an archive recording of Melvin Jerome Blanc was used this and archive footage of Michael Jordan! This movie also features my favourite artwork "The Scream" and world's greatest noise!!!! THE WILHELM SCREAM!!!

The morals of this movie are not to be foolish and jealous like Daffy and to save people whom you love. This movie stands out for: action, humour and fun. Especially action but the humour is CRAZY!!!

The soundtrack is good, there's action-packed chase music and the theme song is a great finale for any movie!!!

Overall in conclusion, THIS MOVIE IS CRAZY!!! I highly recommend this for all ages! It has to be the 3rd-best! Just underneath Space Jam and Wallace and Gromit! Get this movie if you haven't already, get the soundtrack too.

Without a doubt, THE 2ND-GREATEST MOVIE IN THE HISTORY OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!!
12 November 2020
This is absolutely awesome!!! Terrific! I love and highly recommend it! No one wouldn't like it! It has to be the best Sci-Fi movie, the best sports movie, the best looney toons movie, the best 1990's movie, the coolest movie and the 2nd-best movie ever! IT HAS TO BE!!!

The quality and animation effects of this movie is AWESOME for its time!!! They've done an awesome job!!! The effects look so real and yet cartoon at the same time! The chroma key is so real!!! The animation is the best cartoon animation!!!

The actors mostly play themselves, Michael Jordan, William Murray along with Michael's family and the NBA. There's also the voice of Daniel Devito (from Jumanji 3: Third Level, The Simpsons, the one and only Ivan and Hercules), William Richard Werstine (from Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, he hates the next looney toons movie after this 'cause he didn't play Bugs Bunny), Dee Bradley Baker (from Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and many Spider-Man toons) and William Farmer (actor of Goofy). The humour is just as good as usual in looney toons, it also stars Wayne Knight (from Toy Story 2 and Jurassic Park) and Franklin Windell Welker who talentedly plays animal sounds in pretty much every movie. Twice in this movie, it uses the 2nd-greatest noise in the universe!!! CASTLE THUNDER!!!

This movie stands out for "fun". And the main moral is to not stop doing what you love.

The music is EPIC!!! No wonder it's called Space "JAM". The theme song is jammy rockin' awesomely cool!!! Other songs too but especially the theme!!!

Overall in conclusion, I highly recommend this movie for anyone in the universe especially on special occasions, 'cause you'll never not like it! Get or see this movie if you haven't already, maybe you could get the songs too! The metal versions are better. This movie is only in 2nd place in the best movies in the world just under Wallace and Gromit!

without a doubt, THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER MADE IN THE HISTORY OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!!
12 November 2020
This movie is awesome!!! absolutely TERRIFICALLY AND WONDERFULLY AMAZINGLY EPIC!!! I grew up with this movie along with some of its characters and franchise and I highly recommend it for anyone in the universe 'cause I promise that you won't dislike it at all! how can anyone not LOVE this movie???!!!??? by over infinite% it has to be the best movie ever!!! IT HAS TO BE!!!

the animation has to be THE GREATEST ANIMATION EVER!!! Stop Motion Claymation may be the easiest animation too but a full-lengthed feature film entirely Stop Motion Claymated would take years to develop! I strongly appreciate they've worked so hard to get it all done! the camera quality is VERY great for its time! the models are fantastic and I like how they've made the Were-Rabbit furry and teddy-bear like compared to everyone else who's made of Plasticine Clay, this is why the Were-Rabbit's the evil monster 'cause he's not made of clay. the special effects in some scenes like the explosion is ACTION-PACKED!

the cast is done well, Wallace is portrayed as being crazy, clumsy and cheese-obsessed but super-genius, and is portrayed by famous British actor Peter John Sallis (from Last of the Summer Wine). the Britishness of this movie is great for any movie! the things I hear about England make me think it's better than any other country even though I haven't even been there and don't come from there! their accent makes them sound polite whether they're even being polite or not! it also stars Helena Bonham Carter (from The Gruffalo and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Ralph Fiennes (from Harry Potter and Lego Batman Movie) Benjamin Whitehead (from The Pirates, A Matter of Loaf and Death and later he even replaced the voice of Wallace!) and Peter Kay who was hilarious with his jokes and humour! even in the deleted scene! it also uses the greatest noise in the universe!!! THE WILHELM SCREAM!!!

this movie stands out mainly for humour, the moral is to not murder innocent cute rabbits and to listen to your friend if he's trying to tell you something and pay attention.

the soundtrack is GREAT!!! it has to be the best soundtrack ever! and it's got the best theme song ever! even though it doesn't even have words! the music has been well done made to sound like a horror movie 'cause this a horror parody, but vegetarian!!!

overall in conclusion, this movie is the BEST!!! I highly recommend this movie for anyone in the universe anytime! at any age or gender! I promise strongly that you'll love this with every blood cell in my vains!!! get or see this movie if you don't already have or seen it! get the soundtrack too! and all the shorts and episodes with it!!!

Without a doubt, THE 4TH-GREATEST MOVIE IN THE HISTORY OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!!
12 November 2020
This is awesome!!! Thomas the tank Engine is the best children's character! And Thomas and The Fantastic All-Hailroad is perfectly great for the family and all ages! It has to be the best kids movie, the best fantasy movie, the best movie in 2000 and the 4th-best movie ever! IT HAS TO BE!!!!

The way this movie is made is very well done for its time! It blends and combines a real-life live action universe with a very realistic model-made universe, and the chroma key looks SO REAL too! The way that Diesel#10's giant robot claw moves is good and the magic railway and the gold dust CGI is pretty well done!

The acting and portrayals are good. The acting of Russell Means, Didi Conn and Cody McMains are good as kind local working people who hang 'round Shining Time. The acting of Mara Elizabeth Wilson and Peter Fonda is beautifully sweet! Fonda is a sad and heartbronkenly depressed old man who has longed for happiness for years, and Mara is his young teenage granddaughter who needs to restore the magic to make him happy again. And the acting from Alexander Rae Baldwin III and Michael E. Rodgers is HILARIOUS!!! Mike Rodgers has the best lines and is lazily obsessed with seaside surfing safari holidays, I especially like his line: "ooo cake! Eww! That's not cake!" This cracks me up!!! And Alexander Baldwin is a wise man though he talks to himself a lot about how he should behave. The film combines live action actors with American accents and voices with British accents, the only voices which are American are the villains (which is what makes them evil 'cause they're Americanised, so the movie isn't too American for British fans) My favourite characters are the villains, Diesel#10 and Petey Tiberius Boomer along with their annoyingly troublesome minions. I was obsessed with these characters for a while!!!

There's good morals for kids, that we all see magic differently, to help those in need, that carrots are healthy for your brain , several lessons of cooperation and most of all, little people can do big things too!

The soundtrack is good, magical music for the magic, scary music for the villains, good chase music, the Thomas themes in this movie aren't too annoying, and sweet relaxing music that really makes you think! The music really calms me down when I listen to it, the music also reminds you of the characters: Really Useful engine/Thomas theme (Thomas), the moon must feel (Lily), some things never leave you (Burnett) and summer Sunday (Junior). And I'm not a fan of pop disco, but the locomotion has to be the best pop song ever!

Overall in conclusion, this movie is 4th-best just under Looney Toons: Back In Action, Space Jam and Wallace and Gromit. If you don't like this movie then you won't like Thomas or any kids movie for that matter at all!!!
