Superbly underrated

One of the best shows on tv right now.Certainly deserves a watch. It never gets boring for a second. And the protagonist is at least as relatable as Bojack Horseman (Jonathan Banks has done a great job by the way)

Frank's Father Shows Up
vivianla26 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
At church people come in to confess their sins. We hear a prostitute took money from her pimp, Vic did not give oral sex back to his gf.

Frank comes in just when it is about to close. He talks about his father.

We see Frank's childhood - his father was a popular guy but at home his family saw who he really was. He was a drunkard and abusive. Poor Frank had to deal with his father questioning his masculinity and physical abuse. His father calls him Francine, made him wear a grass skirt and coconut bra.

The kids are surprised to know they have TWO grandpas. Frank's father treats everyone very well and is a social butterfly. Frank competes with his father by paying when they go out to eat and buying a new car alongside his father.

Frank does his imitation of Sue by saying "yit-dit-dit-dit-dit".

At a restaurant where the family is eating burgers and fries, Frank confronts his father about his past abuse. Frank tries to get the kids on his side saying do you know what my father did when I was a kid? At last Frank throws bills on the table and leaves.
