As good as Season 1

I've just finished watching Season 2 and am glad to say that it's just as good as Season 1.

Fantastic script, acting and production and there are many great laughs in the storyline. Anna Maxwell Martin continues to shine, although it's rather unfair to single her out when the rest of the cast are so wonderful.

I would rate this at the same level as Catastrophe and Back, two of my favourites. Looking forward to Season 3 very much.

Charmless episode, quite unlike series 1

Warning: Spoilers
It's as though this episode has a different writer/team of writers from series 1. The new mum character is unrecognisable as a real person, which is jarring in a show whose appeal lies in the relatability of its characters and situations.

Have you ever been on a wild night out mid-week with your millionaire, polyglot, alcoholic, exhibitionist, possibly bisexual, girl boss new best friend? No? Then get a load of this monstrosity! You'll love how the script descends into characters telling Alexa to turn some music on but no, turn it off again! Desperate stuff and a very long half-hour of noisy TV.

It's a bad premise and the episode is made worse by the exposition in the cafe in the first act to explain to anyone who couldn't figure out the shifting social hierarchy in the first series exactly, exactly, what the situation is. What were they thinking?
