Sex & Nudity

  • A lot of kisses between Eleven and Mike
  • A man and woman are shown getting out of bed together in their underwear. The scene itself is quick and nonsexual, though we understand the characters are in a sexual relationship.
  • Several scenes at a local pool, some of which show womens legs to upper thigh and partial buttocks, also women drooling over a guy/lifeguard with his shirt off all shown in sexual manner, A woman is seen swimming and the camera focuses on her breasts for seconds & the guy/lifeguard flirts with the older woman shown in this scene mentioning in flirtatious manner teaching her the breast stroke & that he will give her the workout of her life (referring to sex) - this woman is married and is shown contemplating the encounter and getting makeup on while in lingerie to go out for the encounter

Violence & Gore

  • Rats explode in their masses. Quite gory

Profanity

  • S**t is said a few times and the word Godd**n is used by Dustin at the beginning
  • Profanity of a cruel, demeaning tone: a grown man shouts at a boy in public, and calls him "lard-ass" repeatedly to shame him for his body.
  • Name calling like dork stupid
  • 23 uses of shit 1 with bull 1 use of son of a bitch, douchebag, hell, dingus, for goodness sakes and butthead 2 uses of lardass and fartface 5 uses of damn 1 with god 3 uses of suck 2 times seen written

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Adult characters smoke cigarettes throughout.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Multiple rats explode into blood and gore. A little unsettling.
  • A lot of the ominous, creepy laboratory shenanigans typical of Stranger Things.
  • Multiple properties simultaneously lose power and go dark. Creepy tone to the scene.
  • As is typical throughout the series, Will has disturbing visions and flashbacks to scenes previously shown throughout the show.
  • As we've seen a few times throughout the seasons, arguments quickly escalate and become very cutting, tense moments between El and Hopper. He can be shockingly angry sometimes and that might be upsetting to those sensitive to parents/guardians directing intense anger at children under their care.
  • Period-typical misogyny and inappropriate harassment in the workplace.
