Fun Interview

Joel Schumacher on 'St. Elmo's Fire' (2009)

*** (out of 4)

This fourteen-minute interview with director Joel Schumacher has him looking back on the making of the 1985 hit ST. ELMO'S FIRE. He starts off talking about how he got involved with the picture and from here he takes a look at the casting. He goes through all of the main cast members and discusses how he found them and why they were right for the role. He also shares some interesting stories about the Emilio Estevez character and why much of his story almost got taken out of the picture. There's nothing too detailed here but if you're a fan of the film then there's no question that you'll enjoy this. Schumacher shares enough interesting stories to make it worth watching and he also discusses why he hated the term "Brat Pack".
