A Fantastic Episode. Filled with Excitement and Plot Twists. An Emotion Roller Coaster.
ansonlam3 March 2018
First of all, I just want to say that Dove Cameron did an amazing job at making us all want to kill her character. The episode started off light and breezy, then started to tense up and ended up a disaster, alike literally every other AoS episodes, leaving many wonders and possibilities that could lead to the events of the 100th episode (return of many past and deceased characters). As for the emotion roller coaster part, the episode was seriously intense, (some even being cringey *detailed left out as to not spoil anything*). THAT specific moment made me slam my fist hard on my table and literally yell NOOOOOOO. Overall, a very well-done episode. Can't wait to see the big 100 episode next week.

Re-watch thoughts

This episode is fantastic! it brings back a lot of energy and momentum to the show after a truly depressing first half, I mean I loved the first half of the season but it was depressing me out big time, this episode, while pretty dark and shocking in its own way, it does take time to show us joy and happiness, and some goofiness even with that bar scene. we get the return of some characters that we haven't seen in a while, pretty exciting stuff, we also get the introduction to interesting new characters. overall, great episode, really balances out new and old and brings the show back to its roots.

the most chilling episode in aos .

Warning: Spoilers
I know there r alot of gory episodes in aos , but this just does it for me . Natalia's acting is so incredible . The face she makes when her arms gets cut off and from her inspecting her hands after seeing her future self without them .

I'd also like to note how her future self told her the reason why the world ends was because of coulson and she essentially becomes coulson . She loses a limb (like coulson does in season 2) and (in the future) dies and gets revived like coulson . She adapts a robot personality (like coulson does) and progressively makes more comments about her insecurity towards her robot limbs, and how she becomes sick with herself after murdering ruby like coulson did after murdering ward . It took me four times of rewatching this fantastic show to ever realise her transformation .

Like coulson does in season 3 , she made jokes at the beginning of season 5 about robot hands and how she wouldn't "mind one" . Natalia's acting has honestly made me realise over time the strong connection between the two characters .

Also from season 4 , like mack , she HATES robots. From the get go . Way before aida . Literal days after fighting against a robot , she now physically 'is' one and feels defenseless about it like aida does with her programming.

The aos cast is so amazing at acting - this episode never fails me ! My favourite mid-season finale :)

All the Comforts of Home

Warning: Spoilers
Dove Cameron's character is interesting, but she does not quite have the acting chops for a big role.

Right now the show is not hooking me in. I was glad they left space, but they have not followed it up well. Daisy doing some lawyer cosplay isn't quite what we're looking for, even if it was mildly funny.

So frustrating.

Warning: Spoilers
Why is it that the fastest woman in the world can disarm all the opponents but chooses to have a fist fight rather than point them at the masked assailants. What compounds is that she's already met her future self who could have easily said "don't throw the guns away; use them!" What's more how can someone who can out run bullets get their arms chopped off by a thrown weapon! And how does she get both arms chopped off at the same time. When you run one's out front the other behind. If they were by her sides how didn't her torso not get damaged!

Plot holes galore

Warning: Spoilers
This episode really annoys. Yo yo, the fastest girl in the galaxy is fast enough to disarm everyone in a fraction of a microsecond but apparently too slow at super-speed to avoid getting her arms cut off by a thrown blade (which she somehow missed during her de-armament super-speed sojourn). Ludicrous. Not to mention that she's happy to fight melee at normal speed too for no apparent reason.

And they were doing so well.

Those Nasty Lips

Dove Cameron must have two pounds of silicone in them. Oh- and like what others have mentioned: the writers are getting lazy again. Yo yo, must be a complete airhead since she can't seem to remember her super power.

Why....
chironade4 March 2018
Frankly,. I am getting tired. Tainted pictures, shaking camera and everything kept so dark and gloomy.

Story itself is okay, but one thing I keep wondering about:

What is it with marvel and the continuations of so much useless and bloody violence? And what about this tiresome cutting of limbs?

It is getting BOOOOOOOORRRRIIIIIINNNNGG, watching so many episodes done te same way...

The story itself is goo, the acting, too, but somehow it is still NOTHING new...
