Fitting, but repetetive

The subject of the video feels like it fits the song, upbeat but yet actually about a serious subject matter. The cinematography, specifically the lighting is awesome. However, video shots are repetitive.

Mildly catchy at times, everything else is forgettable or even worse

Warning: Spoilers
The title of this 4-minute music video "Kygo Feat. Selena Gomez: It Ain't Me" here on imdb includes the names of the two artists as well as the song we got here. Director is Phillip Lopez and honestly I am not too impressed by his effort or by anybody else's from the people working on this one we got here. The story is fairly tragic, but the video is never executed in a way where I as an audience member felt involved emotionally whatsoever, so from a drama perspective this really was close to a failure because it is despite the story never a touching watch and feels unauthentic generally speaking where 2 out of 5 is still pretty generous. The tune may be catchy here and there, but the range required is minimal, which doesn't surprise me as Gomez is the epitome (admittedly not the only one) of forgettable pop music from the 2010s that tries so hard to be relevant and to make a contemporary impact, but it comes oh so short all the time. The dancing at the bed of the coma patient is really cringeworthy as it never succeeds with its attempt to make a statement that being her loved one and remembering the happy moments results in happiness again. Weak execution there once more. And finally, the forced unrealistic slightly happy ending is not helping matters either. Don't listen to this one and especially don't watch to this one. Not recommended.
