Very close to a 10/10, but I'm saving that because I truly believe this show has more to give, but that being said- This was some incredible writing. I never thought a TV show would be able to produce this amount of entertainment in such a quick span of 40 minutes, but Riverdale succeeded. The scenes of Fred attempting to come back to life are amazing. So many questions are in front of us, and we have the pleasure of knowing we have a full season ahead of us to watch to discover what is going to happen.

Nice start with minor hiccups

Nice start of the season. I'm glad the Jason plot was wrapped up in the first season and not dragged out for seasons and seasons like in Pretty Little Liars. The shooting was definitely a surprise at the end of Season 1 and we finally discover what happened. One problem I had with the episode was the part when Archie goes home with Veronica. The whole taking a dog for a walk and having sex with your girlfriend in the shower while your dad got shot and might be dying in a hospital is just..unrealistic.

Riverdale is and has always been a terribly written show... Damn catchy but terribly written. The writers combines the soap and the detective genre which should not be done unless you are fully aware of what you're doing and that's totally not the case here. Well I had to watch this new episode because after all the show is quite amusing and I did't know if to laugh or cry. It was even worse than the previous episodes. Nothing less than pathetic! I won't even point out where it went wrong because everything was horrible in so many ways.
Am I gonna watch the next episode? indeed! I need to see how far they can take it.

AHHHH THE RETURN OF THE FORCED DIALOGUE
tristanspohn1 June 2018
I'm going to be brutally honest the first three episodes of season one of Riverdale was the worst writing I've seen in a tv show.
But I stuck around and was happy I did because it got so much better.
But in this first episode, while nowhere near as bad as the first three of season one, I see a return in the terribly forced dialogue.
Hopefully this season sees a similar trend and whips itself back into shape.
