The kids are having fun, the audience not so much

"The Legend of Korra: A New Beginning" is an American live action short film in the English language (with some Asian music at the end) that was written and directed by Joey Min, who has really worked in every field imaginable when it comes to filmmaking. Here he is the one in charge and the title of course makes it obvious already that this is a fan movie closely connected to the successful animated series "The Legend of Korra". It runs for under 10 minutes and the budget was approximately $500, so yeah you really should not expect anything great here. And even if you don't, chances are this film will disappoint you overall. Nothing stands out really, except the cuteness of the girls perhaps. But the fight sequences that sure make up way too much here do not. Neither do the interactions between the characters, regardless if we are talking about friends or foes. Story-wise, if we look at the very basics, the idea is not too horrible. However, the attention to detail just isn't there to make this a solid watch. It's close to failure territory there is no denying, even if it does not reach this level yet either. Some of the actors are not good at all either. I could say this is only worth watching for big Legend of Korra fans, but honestly I think these are the ones who would hate this film the most I believe. So it's better if you just skip it and watch the animated series instead because every time when this film here shows some minor signs of creativity, it is really only because it refers to something from the animated series and this means it is neither an original nor a creative achievement. Thumbs-down.

As a huge fan of the series, I stumbled across this pathetic cash grab on YouTube! The acting, location, script & all effects are z grade garbage! It's supposed to be following the events after the show ended & Korra's hair is made to look like it did in the first three seasons!! This atrocity should be turned into Paramount for copyright infringement!!

Most beautiful piece of art i've ever had the pleasure of seeing.

All my friends and I loved it.

I don't see why people are hating on this masterpiece of a series in my opinion people cant have bad taste but if you don't like the legend of kora YOU have BAD taste :)

This short film is up there with the greatest movies of all time like Avengers: End Game, Toph: an avatar fan film and Avatar the last Airbender( only the live action).

Unlike the other short films this one the character progression is fast from the start you see the character change from the start The Fight scenes are well choreographed with high quality sound affects were just amazingly suited to the action The overall sound Quality is emasculate, I wish every movie and series was had high quality sound just as this one does.
