This was yet another great episode! This features the kids in Elmore on the bus saying that they're going to skip school, but it turns out to be a plot orchestrated by their parents in disguise as people who take the bus hostage. Kind of odd, seeing as how Principal Brown isn't anybody's parent. You get the idea. They use the names Mr. Pink, Mr. Brown, etc. It must be a "Reservoir Dogs" reference. Considering the stuff that's happened on this show, I wouldn't be surprised. It's great to see Gumball as the only sane man.
This is probably why Gumball is my favorite modern cartoon star. Unlike Finn, Dipper, or Twilight, he doesn't have a consistent characterization and simply does whatever's funny at the time, oddly enough, making him more realistic. The slapstick and action scenes are great with the police cars all being destroyed and this awesome fight on a plane at the end! There turns out to be more than what they and the audience think. They were being manipulated by Doctor Wrecker the whole time! It's great to see a character as an archenemy in this series, as there's few antagonists. It's just as satisfying and as funny as ever. ****
