No budget, no problem.

Writer and director Shane Grant weaves a masterful little tale located in the home town of master of horror Stephen King. Grant gives us an original story and solid acting, based in a world any fan of horror and humor can wrap their head around. This is an indie gem worth watching more than once. Don't let the lack of budget fool you. This film is fun and scary and gross all at the same time. By the time this film is over you will never look at spaghetti the same way again. Or maybe you like to play with your food. Either way it's quite a trip. So grab your friends and some popcorn because you are in for a wild ride. Grant proves you can make good films on a dime.

great film.... a must see......

I love the fact that the writer and director decided to film locally in the great state of Maine. This movie has twist you don't see coming and at the same time has a bit of comedy to it.The plot of the movie is not like most movies where in the first few minutes you know how it is going to end.The effects are done very well too. I enjoyed it very much. This movie was at the BANGOR,ME toy/comic con 2016. I got a copy autographed and a t shirt plus a movie poster too. So if you are a horror geek like myself. Then hurry up and see this movie.(hope they make another one soon. Defiantly cant wait to see any future movies from this very talented author.) I have watched this movie multiple times and it never get boring or old.

Sleepeater homage to campy horror B films
anastasiaweigle9 October 2016
If you have grown up in the 1960s and 70s watching those campy horror B movies, this will not disappoint. The writer and director, Shane Grant, pieces a crafty humorous tale about a hapless man "Quinn Rogers," played by Bill Cassinelli (Scary Tales, 2001; Dirty Cop No Donut, 1999; and Screaming for Sanity: Truth or Dare 3, 1998) who, unbeknownst to him, has been contaminated by infected blood from a homeless man Quinn refused to share his sandwich. Ahh, Karma Sucks! A voracious disease seems to afflict Rogers when he is asleep. He does not know what is happening to him when he wakes up from his sleep with blood on himself. A dream sequence should be noted as a highlight of the film that will satisfy you blood gore lovers. Although the sequence seems a bit long, you really have to applaud Grant for his clever use of food! Excellent "homegrown" special effects are all Grant. I found this movie laugh-out-loud funny and satisfyingly horrific at the same time. Kudos to Grant for sharing his off-beat and gore talent to the State of Maine where he resides. Fear not gore lovers, Grant will surely bring you a Sleep Eater II and hopefully many more films to come.
