"Mr. Candle Cares" is now my favorite episode. It's probably because they really starting putting on the romantic text between Star and Marco. They even explicitly mention the word "Starco". This episode features Star and Marco going to a guidance counseler but it turns out he's working for Tom who's trying to get Star back. The best part is easily when Marco jokes that he's become smooch buddies with Star. They're doing all sorts of styles. Marco, you are one dirty boy! Star tries to change herself but Marco assures her she'll be fine the way she is. ****
"Red Belt", while not as good, is still very entertaining. Marco wants to become a red belt, but then realizes his own teacher isn't one! He then goes on to find a VHS copy of the video that shows you how, but can't pay for it. Star doesn't appear much in the episode but that's fine because Marco is my favorite character. I love how they directly pick up from the last episode. You rarely see that in a cartoon like this. It makes me glad modern cartoons have an ongoing story. ***1/2
