There have been much much MUCH worse season finales... trust me

This was a cute one. Not bad, not the best, just there. I liked that it didn't have that cluttered feel like most of the modern Simpsons episodes, but at the same time, certain gags felt out of place. Well actually just one gag in particular: that jug band at the end. I was fixing dinner in between commercials, so did I maybe miss something that may have caused the jug band gag? Or was it just for filler. Oh well.

Btw, the AMAZING couch gag with Rick and Morty was, in my opinion, the best Simpsons crossover since the episode with The Critic. It was witty, well animated, and did justice for both already amazing shows.

Anyways, this wasn't the best season finale, but it also wasn't the worst. And it's good to hear Harry Shearer's characters presumably for the last time here (but hey, the future might have some hope, right?)

Not an Outstanding Season Finale, but an Enjoyable Episode Nonetheless,

Mathlete's Feat is a terrific Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and loads of very funny scenes. It was a fun episode as we see Lisa joining a maths team and competing in the world championships, the scenes in the school were the funniest parts of the episode and particularly many hilarious quotes from Principal Skinner. It didn't really feel like a season finale to me which left me disappointed, the plot was simply too normal and it felt like it would have made more sense in the middle of the season, judging from past finales such as Dangers on a Train, the Ned-liest Catch, Judge Me Tender and Coming to Homerica, I expected more from this episode. It also features some very clever maths jokes and the way they delivered then was nicely constructed, they sort of dumbed it down for people like me who wouldn't understand, so you could still appreciate the intellectual humour. Mathlete's Feat may not be an outstanding end to the twenty sixth season, but I really enjoyed this season and this episode is certainly of the many great episodes it features, and it also has a brilliant couch gag.

After competing in a maths competition, Lisa causes huge changes for Springfield Elementary.

If it weren't for Rick and Morty, this episode would have failed

Even though they were in the couch gag, I still thought it was amazing.

The episode was ok. Not bad, but you do learn something intresting about Math. Not with technology, but in a different way. Not bad, worth the watch, but liked the couch gag more
