There are many small details that shows the hardships Indians face in USA. Immigration policy, work life, personal life and food :p . All the tv series and movie show us the good part of living in USA but no one shows these basic living problem faced here. NRI's are in constant fear of losing everything they build here. If you wish to be in USA, get full information of these things here. Talk to the seniors here, they have exerience living here and you just might save some years of your life.

'For Here or to Go',.....gone with the winds! (But a must watch for all NRIs.)

The subject is so touchy about dilemmas of NRIs( whether to continue as NRI with ampteen problems or to come back to homeland with dear ones!) Here or to go means,in the USA after you order eatables; its commonly ask question whether you want it to eat there( here) or want a parcel? ( or to go? ),but after watching the movie ,you may cancel the order itself! Ha ha

Ali Fazal,Omi Vaidya,Rajit Kapoor all carry the film on their shoulder but.... Rucha Humnabadkar's direction lacks the skill and depth in storey telling.Alas!!

A young Silicon Valley software professional face this problem when his potential employers decide against giving him the job he desperately needs because of inadequate paperwork.So homeland calls him back for safety and comfort. FBi inquiry makes them feel like alieans and fear of the unknown makes them anxious. But few want the luxury and comfort of USA.

Deportation of immigrants, recession and uncertainty of foreign land could have been dealt in a more better way. Good ingredients but bad final recipe,gone with the [e-mail] Athalye.2020

raises a pertinent question

#ForHereOrToGo is a sensible film which raises a pertinent question, do u want to lead a dignified life with ur family, in ur own country? Or do u want to struggle for existence n recognition in a foreign country? Its the story of 3 indian room mates living in america, who r desperate for a green card. They miss their families, but dont want to go back. They feel that their ambitions cant be fulfilled in their hometown. Good performances by fazal, vaidya n nagpal. There r only 2 shows in mumbai. Thanks to #pvrcinemas for screening this film. Rating 3/5.

Excellent take on the retarded US immigration policy

Excellent take on the retarded US immigration policy which was never attempted before. Serious topic tackled well in a fun & entertaining way. Every immigrant will relate to this movie in some capacity. The characters grows on you as the movie progresses.Each character is different from the other in terms skills, aspirations & life priorities yet ends up facing similar troubles due to the silly immigration policy. Ali Zafar as Vivek Pandit is a very honest and a bright chap.His camaraderie with Omi & Amitosh is quite refreshing. Rajit Kapur fits really well in the role of an entrepreneur.The chemistry between Vivek and his girlfriend Shveta is breathtaking.Overall a sure shot winner & a must watch.

The movie provides a fantastic peek into the struggles of legal immigrants, as they navigate the complicated immigration process in the US! The script is very thoughtful, and the movie handles a highly complicated topic quite sensitively. The performances are excellent as well! Highly recommended!

Interesting subject, needed a better director

Though it is a interesting and important topic of Green card / Jobs-life in US / go back to India / Live your passion.

The story constantly derails from the message. The author character is not deep nor are the main characters. So is with the love angle that is present.

All in all not worthy of a 1 time watch too.

Everyone who has been to the US can relate to this movie. It is a well made movie with some great acting. Even the title is apt- thanks netflix for adding this one to the collection!

Movie with an agenda

The movie is one with a specific agenda that focuses on Indian software workers in the US with H1B visas. The producer seems so focused on the movie's only message and agenda that the storyline and character development never happens. Rather than focus on the vagaries of the US immigration system, the focus might have been better spent exploring in greater detail the reasons for the reluctance by the temporary workers to return to India and use their skills to help build the country. It will mainly appeal to a Desi audience.

It is a brilliant movie. Very sensitively captures a serious topic and its emotional impact. The storyline is lucid and flows well. Everyone can empathize with the angst that Indian immigrants go through.

Life of an immigrant is hard but staying connected to your culture makes it a little easy. You get used everywhere and the worst part is that you let them use you.

The movie says it good " immigrants are modern bandhua majdoors.

Indians living abroad with their uncertain immigration status can relate very well. It asks the most important question that touches the core dilemma we have i.e. whether to live a life of uncertainty in a foreign country or to join the growth story of the Indian nation.
