Liam Neeson is checking into “Hotel Tehran.”
The Oscar-nominee turned on-screen avenging angel is joining the previously announced Zachary Levi in the new action-thriller from Guy Moshe. Cameras will start rolling in late summer. The rest of the ensemble will be cast in the coming weeks.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Liam Neeson to ‘Hotel Tehran,'” Moshe said. “He is a true thespian and an icon in our industry. The character he plays, Larry, is complex, irreverent, and inspired by real people. Billy Magnussen (No Time to Die, Game Night, Bridge of Spies) is set to make his feature directorial debut with the survival thriller The Ridge.
Magnussen will also star in the film alongside Lamorne Morris (Fargo, Woke), Chace Crawford (The Boys, Gossip Girl) and Jordan Firstman (You People, Rotting in the Sun). Produced by Mandalay Pictures (Ben Affleck’s Air), Highland Film Group is launching international sales at Cannes.
Written by Mike Anderson, John Clavier and Will Lowell, from a story by Magnussen, Anderson and Clavier, The Ridge follows Dez (Morris), a sensitive city dweller who travels to Wyoming with his friends (Crawford and Firstman) to meet his fiancé’s brother — and true outdoorsman — Grady (Magnussen). When Grady puts Dez to the test, it sets the two men at odds with one another, and they engage in an explosive feud that causes their truck to crash and tumble from a ridge.

Rupert Wainwright will no longer direct “Not Without Hope,” a survival drama with Miles Teller that was scheduled to start shooting in the Dominican Republic this August.
The filmmaker’s exit is being attributed to “creative differences.” The production is now looking for a new director, a search that will likely push back filming by at least a few weeks. Wainwright’s previous credits include “Stigmata,” “The Fog” and “Blank Check.”
“Not Without Hope” tells the story of Nick Schuyler, who managed to survive hours in the freezing water after his boat capsized in the Gulf of Mexico. Schuyler was on a fishing trip with three friends, two of whom were Oakland Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper and free-agent NFL defensive lineman Corey Smith. Their brutal ordeal became a major news story. The film is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Schuyler and Jere Longman. E. Nicholas Mariani wrote the screenplay.

Nothing can be bigger than Hercules.
Then again, nothing can be bigger than Dwayne Johnson.
Johnson arrived early at CinemaCon in Las Vegas to speak to a small handful of journalists about the revealing of his “Hercules” trailer.
Latino-Review was present at this conversation. We’ve discussed many details about “Hercules” movie. And we even got into other topics about a possible superhero movie, G.I. Joe movie and San Andreas film.
“Hercules” will be in theaters on July 25.
Read the full transcript below.
Question: I’m very curious about the balance between playing it real versus fantasy. Is it like 300 exaggerations?
Dwayne Johnson: Well, there had been a few iterations in the past of Hercules. The idea was to take the spirit of the graphic novel, which we liked, and then create a script and a story based on that that still gave a very unique twist on the story of Hercules.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson never seems to slow down. He's slated to finish his filming commitments on "Fast and Furious 7" in the first half of the year, and now he's spoken about his next project after that - New Line's "San Andreas 3D".
He confirms that filming on the project is slated to begin in April in Brisbane, Australia. Johnson calls it "the first ever big 3D earthquake disaster film."
He also says: "I'm cautiously excited to start shooting 'Not Without Hope'. To tell this story and become this man is truly an honor."
That project he's referring to is Relativity's film based on Nick Schuyler's book about a 2009 fishing trip to the Gulf of Mexico that turned disastrous when their boat capsized.
