This is a 90-minute courtroom drama made for television from roughly one year ago. It deals with the attempted murder of a woman and her husband is the main, pretty much only, suspect. He has to go to court, then to jail. However, not much later, doubts appear to the question if Harry Wörz really is the guy they were looking for. Many more proceedings follow and this film depicts basically all of them. And we also get an insight into the relationship between the suspect and his lawyer.
This film is mostly about the road to Wörz' final acquittal. The initial conviction already happens five minutes into the film. The whole thing is written and directed by Till Endemann. He got help with the script from somebody who worked on the Best Picture Academy Award winning "The Gladiator" many years ago. The cast is not too known here and that includes lead actor Rüdiger Klink, although they all are experienced television actors. But this film does not need big names either. It's a decent piece of filmmaking and I recommend it to everybody with an interest in legal-based movies.
