The Tomb of Terrors box set presents Siege of Evil. With such an awesome name I get visions of hordes of demonic creatures assaulting a house of people NOTLD-style rending the flesh of pathetic, weak humans. Unfortunately what we get is nothing like that and it's more of a ghost-hunters/paranormal activity (not the movies the actual activity) type horror thriller. The movie starts out well with a woman jogging near the woods with no bra on. She gets assaulted by an amorphous entity in the woods which rips her shirt up. It looks like a wisp of smoke. This non-corporeal fiend must have "male energy" as it makes sure to rip holes to expose both of her nipples. After this the movie mostly gets bogged down with boring supernatural drama and dialogue. It does pick up at the end with stuff like a handprint on a pillow, cereal turning into maggots and the actress who plays the main character eating them for real. There's also a woman dragged into a shed with a demonic creature emerging holding her severed head in the fog, this is probably the best part late in the movie. There's a "tense" driving part where a character has to get home in a hurry encounter every annoying obstacle on his way. We've all had those days. There's a couple of predictable twists at the end. Siege of Evil has a great name but is mostly a bland supernatural thriller.
