Thundercats Ho starts! Let's go Bengali, Lynx-O and Pumyra!!!!!!!
This episode, one of five, that were originally intended as a big-screen movie, then released as a TV movie and finally known around the world as the first episodes of the second season, tells the first part of the story of how three more Thunderians encountered their way to Third Earth same as the Thundercats before them.
It all starts with a recurrent nightmare haunting the sleep of Lion-0, the already anointed Lord of the Thundercats. In the dream, Lion-0 sees three countrymen of the Thundercats apparently dying while trying to reach the same spaceship where he and the Thundercats are, in order to escape the destruction of their beloved Thundera.
Jaga, always wise and comforting appears telling Lion-0 that in order to be able to see beyond the appearance he must ask Cheetara for her help, because she can use her psychic vision to see what really happened.
When consulted, Cheetara reveals it was exactly just an an appearance and the three Thunderians managed to escape the fire and earthquakes that had seemingly destroyed them and were later able to leave Thundera with the help of some friendly Berbills (those electric "care bears" (lol) are so important in this cartoon... ... a favorite to many!) that rescue them and take them to Third Earth.
With a more ferocious Berserkers than ever, Mumm-ra starts plotting to stop the Thundercats from helping the long lost survivors whose apparent decease has haunted Lion-0's sleep for years.
Even when it has many small plot holes like not giving an explanation about why these three new Thunderians didn't need capsules to survive the long travel through space and who resurrected the Berserkers or if just like the three Thunderians weren't dead in the first place, this is the first episode of a good five parts adventure
If of all the 5 parts adventures of the Thundercats, the trials of Lion-0 are without a doubt the most interesting, I bet that we can say that Thundercats Ho! is by far the most entertaining!
