Actually scary and creative villain design
Tim_Falcone6 October 2023
Saw this at Glendale Film Fest and was the scariest film of the horror/thriller group. That freaking smile on the hangman will haunt my dreams for a while. Even though it has a simple setup, it does great job building tension through camerawork, sound design and music. The actress was very believable. She genuinely seemed terrified, which is a must have for a horror movie. The director left before I could talk to him, but if he's reading this, I wanted to ask if he has plans for a feature film of this idea? I think the hangman could be like Slender man or the Nun, and become a potential iconic villain cause of his look and the upside down thing. Anyways, good little horror short film.

clever work

In some measure, pure surprise. The story is simple and it is fair to believe than, after so many horrors, nothing can real surprise but this short film has few precious virtues reminding old fashion to craft a good horror.

First, it is a smart use of your memories, from bats in caves to the hangman game.

Second , the music, lights and acting are at top level .

It proposes a story, not only thrills and this story is a profound familiar to you from childhood games.

Not the last, the Hangman is just scarry from the first apparition, easy ignored by young woman. And the beginning of a sort of curse is admirable crafted , the phone messages, the apparition of young man, the discover by him and us of new presence of Hangman being real beautiful.

So, a clever short horror.
