The quality doesn't dip for a second.

The Major Crime Unit at Thames Valley are alerted to the potential of a crime, trying not to alert Ben, who's seemingly moved onto his next target.

I was expecting some sort of lull now that the two crimes had been carried out, I needn't have worried, this was another excellent episode.

There was one staggering scene, where a commanding Field gets up to address The Congregation, highlighting the power of the sixth amendment, Thou shall not kill, the sheer hypocrisy of the nan was quite astonishing, he's portrayed as being totally and utterly devoid of any real human emotion.

Was Ben really this calm and collected throughout, even when he's taken in he's calmness personified, like he had ice running through his veins.

It's interesting to learn whether or not poor Martin will face the music along with Field, it was interesting to see the way Martin was taken under the wing of Ben.

Exceptional once again, this drama hadn't disappointed for a second.

9/10.

Episode 3

I thought that Episode 3 was the strongest. After Ann Moore-Martin's death. The police become interested in Ben Field.

Meanwhile Ben and Martyn Smith are scouting for their next victim. Elderly Elizabeth Zettl seems to be the one. Little do they know that they are now on the police radar.

DCI Mark Glover (Jonathan Aris) who is nearing retirement is an expert on will fraud. He suspects that both Ann Moore-Martin and Peter Farquhar were killed by Ben and Martyn.

Finding proof is a different matter altogether. Peter's body is exhumed as his brother Ian is told by the police that Peter's death could had been a homicide.

Despite some cliches such as the cop on the verge of retirement. The police looking for evidence was well done. It was good that Peter kept copious notes.

It was also a surprise that the police were quick to investigate. Usually they are reluctant and there have been a few recent true crime dramas that police were not bothered at all.

I would have like to have known why they were so interested. It must have been Ben Field had a modus operandi.

Warning: Spoilers
Well this series has not disappointed yet. I'm on episode 3 and still intrigued. It is difficult to understand why Ben did not destroy Peter's diaries but I guess it goes to show how confident Ben was that he would not be caught. Or perhaps he kept them as trophies. Who knows with psychopaths like him. They have a whole different thought process to normal people.

If this series portrayed Ben correctly, he really had a lot of confidence and nerve. The minute he was bailed out he was out on the prowl again. He wasted no time looking for his next victim(s).

I feel bad for Peter's brother. I think people sometimes ignore red flags in their loved ones lives because they dont want to seem judgmental. Glad he allowed the police to exhume his brother's body and thank goodness Peter's body was not cremated by Ben.
