Rob puts on a celebratory party for Cheryl, but obviously there's a catch, Alice continues to dig into Rob's affair, but her efforts to poke the bear, turn back on her in violent fashion.
Very good, a very strong continuation, and something of a switch in pace and tone, I think the first two episodes were almost black humour, there's very little to laugh at here, it's very serious, pretty gritty drama.
The encounter between Alice and Rob was a very unsettling moment, and be under no illusions, people like Rob exist.
Alistair Petrie does such a great job as Rob, he's a curious mix of charming, calculating, devious, sinister and empowering, he's like a gold coloured watch, bright and vibrant on the outside, but it's all a sham, and what's interesting here, is that we saw the true side of his nature, a violent narcissist.
My only real gripe, we live in a world of social media, with on hand information on hand at the tap of a button, would nobody Google search Rob or Alice's alter ego?
I'm looking forward to the next, Rob has set up such a tricky scenario for Cheryl, she'd be mad to say no...... wouldn't she?
8/10.
