Doctor Grainger

Warning: Spoilers
So I guess the character played by Natasia Demetriou was better than her annoying one on What We Do in The Shadows, but I don't know why a fake Charro was the right fit at this time.

Toast quickly getting a show and it going through an entire season over the course of a few days is kind of amusing though.

I wish we got more clips of the show, the read-throughs any of the stuff. The scenes with Toast and Russ Nightlife are starting to get a bit repetitive in that area.

Still, the show continues to be funny and I am not sure why so many Toast of London fans are objecting to it. The Larry David character should probably be retired though as it is not working.

Think Toast has lost its Twinkle
bobetjo26 January 2022
As a big Toast and Matt Berry fan I think this series has lost the charming humour that made the original seasons entertaining. This episode and the previous one were not really funny. Just a bit weird. The sense that Toast was a real actor mixing with other real people like Peter Davidson and Jude Law has been lost. The over the top Americans are just stupid. Bring back the original Toast.

So over the top, but funny.

Toast attends acting school for Doctors, and instantly lands a part in a soap playing Doctor Grainger, he has also decided it's time to change his living arrangements,

Amusing in parts, though this is one of those episodes that's more surreal and zany rather than funny. I think the Clem Fandango sequence was my favourite bit, he looked wonderfully outrageous as always.

The opening sequences with Sola Mirronek were funny, it's always great to see Toast playing a smart arse when he's orating. I laughed at the way people kept on asking if he'd played a Doctor before.

Natasha Demetriou was a bit of fun as the knock off Carmen Miranda, that was one hell of an introduction.

6/10.

Doctor Grainger

Toast gets a job in a hospital soap where everyone thinks he is a real doctor.

Even in an acting masterclass, the tutor felt Toast's acting was so realistic. He had nothing more to teach him.

The soap is a success and sick patients want Toast to visit them.

Another good silly episode showing how shallow people in Tinseltown are.

Maybe it is Steven Toast whose career is on life support.
