Characterisation seems to be all over the place in this episode.Andrew just seems to be malice for malice's sake, clearly having something planned for Donna and causing trouble for Declan.Rebecca, who not so longer ago was threatening Andrew into staying, starts off wanting him gone and then talks Paul out of getting rid of him.He tries to set up Kate with Kyle in order to annoy Declan but may possibly have pushed them closer together, since it seems Kate only agrees to the date because she knows Declan's jealous.
Callum's first day at school unfortunately seems him being bullied. Kind of.Dean's behaviour is so infantile that it's hard to see why Callum's actually bothered by him but then that's perhaps the point, that at that age things get magnified.Sophie's interference seems unnecessary but Harry's help does actually make things better for Callum.However, it makes things worse for Sophie who now finds herself on the outer with her best friend.
