Just because it's Prince,
m-rugen11 April 2022
You guys think this show sucks now. You know damn well if that was Axe across Chuck at that table you'd be raving about it. The nuts and bolts of this show are still there, all that happened was they replaced Axe with Prince. For those of you who eventually binge this show or just haven't started with season 6 yet, ignore all the terrible reviews all season long. This show is still Billions.

Worse Finale EVER
sonjamin10 April 2022
The NYAG's office just looks dirty and spiteful. This season did not have the cleaver back and forth or blurring of good and evil. The characters are are all shadows of themselves, which made them so great in the prior seasons. PHILLIP is the worse addition to the mix. UGH, what a great show and now it's in the toilet.

The hate is a little unwarranted
meekeld10 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I honestly think people are just mad it's not Axe running around doing his degenerate garbage as usual, and instead it's somebody more calculating and charismatic.

Let's not kid ourselves, shows usually start to die after 5 seasons. It's nearly ubiquitous among great TV shows. This is one of the only ones I've seen try to pivot in another direction all together with a new main protagonist that wasn't present from the very beginning, and I personally really like it. The whole Axe versus Chuck charade was great, but Chuck ultimately won. Prince beat them both and is making a bid for office. I think this show could morph into something much more outside of just the glorification of billionaire hedge funds whipping their dongs out at each other. I say that with being an avid fan since the premier of episode 1.

All I ask is the fans give this show some faith. This season was the first time since season 3 I've actually been excited to see what is gonna happen.

9/10 because nobody is perfect.

Last episode I will ever watch.
karen-heffernan17 April 2022
I have watched this show since it started, and enjoyed all the seasons until this one. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, and enjoyed a few of this season's episodes (mostly because of the interactions between Wags & Scooter) - but this episode is the end for me.

It was incredibly insulting to our intelligence to think that a newly shamed & forced out of office AG could waltz into a facility with a fake warrant and NO ONE. Questioned it!! ARE YOU KIDDING?!

I'm done. The writing was went downhill this season and this was the worst (close second was Wendy writing a tell-all book. No one in her position - let alone HER - would ever do that).

DONE.

Ignore the Fanbois - Billions has moved on
leskenn-201-10805811 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Nostalgia is a wonderful thing. Everything wad better then.

TV was more gripping.

Desserts were sweeter.

Summers were warmer.

Distinct feel of The Usual Suspects on this episode. Which way would it go - whose plotting would win the day ?

Bit weird that Dave broke the law - I wonder if that will come back to bite her ?

Looking forward to the next series - always one of the most watchable shows on television.

Time to Axe this show!
pjhynes-378-1090910 April 2022
This show used to be awesome.....now it is not. This reminds me of the last season of 'House of Cards'.... Writers running out of ideas, regurgitated story lines that repeat with no story arcs and basically all the fun has been taken out of this show. Axe, Wagg's, Dollar Bill have been replaced by their boring woke replacements in Kate, Mike, Black Wagg's who void of any fun or personality. This show essence has been destroyed and to the point of nearly being unwatchable.....used to be one of the best shows on TV.

Shoot off thentop
routh-4743810 April 2022
I have been noticing something right from the amount prince was introduced. The lighting around and the camera angle wherein prince is depicting stubbornness yet something lurking around the corner.

This episode almost entirely did not befuddle me but brought out the Darkseid of princes face . The line to Ryan* who u wanna be mingled with expression change * showed something nasty is brewing up.

I loved the theatrically, the enigma, the bemusement , and finally the acknowledgement of defeat even when victory was shared by both.

Keep going makers.

This show has hit rock bottom
scott67711 April 2022
I used to love this show, it had great characters and realistic stories. Now it's full of one dimensional characters that push through rediculous unbelievable rubbish, none of it is even remotely plausible any more.

Shovel The Dirt On It
douglasmcbroom10 April 2022
And so we come to the end of not only the worst season of Billions, but one of the worst (should-be) final seasons in history of a once-great series. It ranks right up there with last year's Dexter reboot and the final season of Boardwalk Empire-just worse!

This series should have ended last season with Axe in Switzerland. Clearly, Damien Lewis knew when to get out. The producers should do the humane thing and just walk away, but they are not done yet, as Season 7 is clearly teed up.

This episode revolves around an affair that absolutely no one would have known about if the airhead didn't start telling everyone-thus creating a problem that did not exist.

This episode dragged along, via flashback, following the path of its sophomoric script. The payoff as empty as Corey Stoll's acting.

Finally, I will never forgive the producers and writers for absolutely destroying one of the great, original characters in streaming history 'Wags' Wagner. They literally cut off his bejubbies.

Forget the show
zakayevz11 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The finale was just as bad as the whole season 6. I just can't understand how unrealistic this final episode was, complete disaster.

1. Why would the driver give any clues whatsoever about what's inside directly to Chuck.

2. How on Earth did Chuck get any access to the crypto storage? A Police official puts the crypto package into an evidence bag with her name on it, hands it to Chuck and leaves him there to open it?

3. Wouldn't Mike Prince have lost the 3 billion regardless of the outcome? If the IT guy was able to unlock it, then Dave would have confiscated it due to no taxes being paid on that income. Since the IT guy could not unlock it, then the system locked up the money due to too many attempts and no password. (???)

I used to love this show, especially at the beginning. People watched and adored the show because of its realistic interpretation of the hedge world. Hence the name - Billions. Now it turned to some weird political comedy show that has nothing to do with the original idea. Just compare the amount of people working in Axe Cap Season 1-2 and now, there's barely somebody there! The writers seem not to care anymore and the story just goes in circles around Chuck and his obsession to take someone down. Very boring, lazy, unrealistic - this will probably produce more seasons but nobody will watch Billions by then.

Atrocious storytelling and disconnected from the truth
wrsorg13 April 2022
It's not a believable story. The whole interrogation is forceful and disconnected from reality; everyone is playing 4D chess, they can all foresee what's happening, and they can all bypass everything and everyone, as if this country never didn't enforce the rule of law. No, the former subordinate of Chuck does not get to decide whether he gets prosecuted or not; she doesn't get to decide if he's arrested or released or not. Sacker doesn't get to change her case files as a private sector lawyer. As a former AG who was unseated for misconduct towards Prince, Chuck doesn't get federal agents to invade Prince's property with a fake signature. Plus, on the other side of the aisle, every character (Wendy, Wags, Ryan) is so confused and may think or do literally anything in the very next scene. Show lacks cohesiveness and has run its course. End the misery!

It was great but time to end this
DanielAgnew198011 April 2022
I am going to go ahead and say it, this was one of the worst seasons I have seen, the sad thing was this used to be a great series but after Damien Lewis left this show went down the toilet they should have ended after he left but unfortunately they let it continue and the stories were ridiculous and unbelievable and what they did with Wags was painful to see as well.

Moral bankruptcy
melnstu12 April 2022
This series has been ok (not up to standards of previous series) but Chuck has become the worst and most immoral of all the characters. He was initially the arbiter of truth but is now just a vengeful little man and consequently, imo, the series has lost a huge amount of it's appeal (as well as the excellent DL, for obvious reasons) Such a shame.

Thank you for ruining a great series.
imdb-0377512 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I know that last year Billions could have come to its logical end, but they decided to place their bets on Mike Prince replacing Axe as the bad man. But they didn't want him to be a bad man, just a good man who sometimes does bad things. It didn't work.

I know that the writers and creators are deep rooted in liberalism and have to remind us every episode (Elon, Watergate, Nixon) but to try and legitimize the episode with references to George Carlin and the flip were just plain tired. The literary Easter Eggs don't resonate as they once did.

They've basically turned Rian into a Monica Lewinsky type but the stuff ain't flying. And to think that someone is going to bet their fortune with a 10 figure crash and take the hit is unrealistic. Billionaires don't stay billionaires for long by losing so much of their net worth on one gambit.

Wags and Wendy have been written as shells of their former characters. Chuck may be right in his assumptions about Prince but he's just becoming an obsessed Ahab. I gave the series plenty of time and we way to find its new footing, but instead they just jumped the shark and got chopped up .

It has become totally far fetched fantasy
indoarie12 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The writers has become very lazy and didn't even care to get their facts straight.

First Chuck acting like a stalker and gets information from a employee about cargo that got transported. And suddenly he gets a magic suitcase with a "Iron Forge" a supposed cold storage device that locks the information after 10 failed attempts.

His "hacker" magically hacks this Iron Forge in the last attempt and Chuck finds 150 million in crypto...

With this information he convinces AG Dave to raid the other companies and collects all the 9 Iron Forges that they can't hack???

First of all, crypto wallets exist on the blockchain, so it doesn't matter if you lose a "drive" as long as your in possession of your "keys" you can always access your wallet.

Second why was the hacker successful with the first Iron Forge and then unable to access any of the remaining ones? That doesn't make any sense.

Third AG Dave was following the law and in the end of the episode she and Chuck making plans to bring Mike down... setting him free and falsified evidence.

This show really deteriorated in the last season and hopefully the writers will do a better job in S07.

It's sad to see that it has become more political and less about finding an edge and cut corners to make money.

Just Awful
chris_p_batter11 April 2022
Mike Prince, the most hated character since Adolf Hitler. I can't believe how far this show has gone, from brilliant to absolute crap.

I really don't know why I carried on watching after leaving previous reviews, I guess I hoped it would get better. Well silly me, it didn't. If there is another season I won't waste my life any further by watching it. The writers are useless, do they really think this is good television?

Once brilliant, now a shadow of its former self.

Last at a party
syncopatedrhythm20 April 2022
You know when you host a house party and that one guest hangs around forever. You think they are never going to leave and are bored to tears waiting for them to leave. You try making subtle hints (damning reviews) yet they just mindlessly plod on. Well Billions has turned into that guest. Party should have ended when Axe left, but no we are left with this strange abomination that has taken over. It's like Bizarro universe Billions, Wags got neutered, the background actors are revolting, Wendy writes a book giving away all her secrets, and at the helm Anti-Axe. Yet this will still be renewed for another season with no changes. I know I won't witness it, enjoy.

Full of plot holes and petty drama
waryman18 April 2022
Drama for the sake of drama and plot holes makes this one of the worst episodes I have ever seen. I don't think I will watch the 7th season after this. Such a disappointment.

OMG someone funded an extra season!
BartWijnen13 April 2022
Enough said already about how things went wrong this season. Because I was a big fan of the series when Axe was still in it, I still watched this season with high hopes which have gone down ever since.

It hurts how characters like Wags and Wendy but also Taylor and even Chuck were actually killed by the writers. I was still watching because I was expecting (and even hoping) that the series would come to sort of a satisfying end after this season's finale. I was ready to close the book of Billions, but despite all criticism and all kinds of unimaginable plot twists and turns with unseen loopholes, someone thought it was wise to allocate budget for season 7...

The final episode of season 6 sums up how absurd the storylines are nowadays and it doesn't promise any good for season 7.

One bonus star from me because of how the series is staged and for some of the actors. Unfortunately, not looking forward to next season which is a shame compared to how I enjoyed the first 5 seasons.

Only a 1 for the Chuck/AG storyline
Mhochdorffer13 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Unlike most people I like the Prince storyline of actually trying to do good, even if it's for his own benefit in the end. Where this show has completely jumped the shark is Chuck and the AG office. It's just annoying at this point that for legit ZERO reason he's on a personal vendetta against Prince. He never fully explains it except saying "he's bad" He just comes off as a pathetic loser who can't stand to lose. And the corruption of the AG office now Is just so absolutely far fetched. Why are they "taking him down" because he wants to run for president or bring something good to NYC. Like cmon if this is the direction for next season this show is in serious trouble. Make Chuck go away for a while or find another arch enemy it was created out of thin air the rivalry. Please do better next season.

S1 vs. S6
rjyoungling-753882 July 2022
Comparing the excitement I had in S1 (donny's BS filler episode aside) to S6, and allI can say is OOF!

This season was ROUGH.

Incredibly dull. Nothing really happened and getting tired of Chuck's back and forth. I wish they would've stuck to the Chuck Axe teamup fighting an even bigger enemy instead of Chuck going back AGAIN. Which just rewound the story.

Agree with other posters. The show has died. Wish they could've thought out 4 strong seasons ahead of time and left it at that vs this slowly fizzling out thing.

Values completely upside down
convertibles12 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers: They go after a guy who is willing to give up wealth to serve the country. It doesn't take much consideration to suspect where the inspiration for the plot has arisen. In this case, the main character, Mike Prince, is willing to lose 3.5 BILLION in order to have the crazed psycho removed from his sad focus on hating those who surpass his successfulness. The most telling line is (paraphrased) "we can't trust anyone who is willing to lose so much money in order to serve in the Whitehouse". OMG their (NY AG) superiority complex is being threatened so they must stop whoever has the gaul to let go of some wealth in order to serve. A further note: if M Prince does get into office and then declines being paid, these losers will whine and belittle that decision.

Getting stupider by the day or episode
arntjohnsen7 January 2023
This starting to "smell" like the The Blacklist, where a main character is making the plot become too dumb. Paul Giamatti's character has lost its' purpose in season 4 and is now just irritating. The plot has lost its' purpose, it is like "cooking soup on nails". I hope that a season 7 is not happening, and if it is, it will be the tv-series Lost all over again. The Golden Globe that this show won (and I write that in past tense), had to be based on the shows before the stupidity became too obvious. I do not say that the actors are doing a poor job, but the writers on the other hand needs to get their act together and stop writing for Billions now! It is unfortunately a lost cause now!
