I'm perplexed. The fun of watching Billions was to see how shady people made their money and "good guys" trying to find ways to bring them down. Now, everybody has lost their teeth and appetite for destruction. Some moves are so predictable (how Prince gets to the Governor) that I feel like I'm watching Suits. Wags is not even wild anymore. Such a hame. I used to be riveted but now, I fold my laundry while watching it.

Like watching a shopping channel

Warning: Spoilers
In general this series has been bang average. Like a lot of American shows it's gone on too long, even before Damien Lewis left, and series 6 has been a continuation of the gradual slide. The last couple of episodes though, have been bizarre to say the least. The previous episode with the expenditure popups throughout with no real explanation of why they were there other than to show us how eyewateringly rich they all are, then this episode that was like watching a shopping channel. The product placement was so blatant and even woven into the plot, that it took you out of any semblance of immersion. Chuck has lost his bite, Prince is a bit lacklustre to be a decent "bad guy" and there seems to be a shedding of a lot of the smaller characters that all makes it a bit linear. I'll stick with this series but it'll have to dramatically stop the rot to make me want to come back for any more. As an aside, it'd be good to see some negative reviewers come up with something original other than anything they don't like being a "woke fest". Grow up.
The fun is gone

A big fan of Billions, I was sorry to see Axe leave but started this new season with an open mind that changes would have to happen. What is missing for me as I watch this season is a lack of real purpose. The positions of Chuck and Axe in seasons past were clear, and the love/hate relationship between them had substantiation, which made it fun to watch. I'm not sure why Chuck is really going after Mike. Two of the reasons I have really liked the show are the tension between characters and the smart, out-of-the-box moves they made to get ahead that were shocking at times. I'm not seeing any of that this season. I feel like Taylor and Wags, for example, have been reined in and are not the same bold characters doing unexpected things they used to be. Honestly, I think they should have ended the show when Axe got off the plane in Switzerland.
ENJOYABLE Season

Cannot understand why people hate it.
I'm saying it's the best show ever nor best season of Billions, but I like it better than the previous one.
Of course I miss "Axe" but Corey does a fine job.
Don't be mad just because it shows the broken system in US and in the whole world.
If you liked the show, there is no reason to stop watching it.
I only wrote this review because I was amazed by all the negativity for all the episodes so far in season 6.
To all who take a time to read the reviews here: No it's not THAT BAD! - Although the only people who write a review are haters.
But c'est la vie.
Everyone has an opinion.. Unfortunate.

RIP BILLIONS

This show used to be SO GOOD. But now it's pretty much unwatchable. At this point it's clearly just being made (ironically enough) for money. All of the best/most interesting characters have been replaced with the least interesting/untalented characters/actors. What a hatchet job.
Time to to do the right thing

This show is dead, without axe it has lost the reason to live, take it to the vets and do the right thing and put it out of its misery. The change of direction was to drastic it is like expecting us to believe that KFC could start making a profit selling salad sandwiches and nothing else.
Billions Of Piles Of Crap!

Just when you thought this show couldn't sink any lower and get more woke and absurd, along comes this episode. The worst episode in the history of the entire series.
There is no hope now that it will ever get back on track. They've even managed to destroy Wags.
Note to Mike Prince: Don't grab the handle of a hot iron skillet with your bare hand!

Man if you though last week's episode was cringeworthy this one lowers the bar a ton. We get to see Wags get neutered, see Chuck get neutered by a smug woman lawyer, then he hires her? Come on, he should have eviscerated and picked his teeth with her bones. Yet we see him shamed yet again this season. Thank God for his minor victory over Cannon Man, because his office is getting screwed over every episode. New Axe, Prince, has a totally bull meeting with his family. Hey if I was worth billions, I'd have those kids in line or they would be eating at a soup kitchen. The show ended with Axe getting on the jet for Switzerland.
Woke alert

I was hoping for a turnaround, but...
imdb-0377528 February 2022
2 scoops of wokeness in every episode. The shenanigans that made Billions a 'must watch' in the first couple of seasons are ghosts of their former selves. I keep hoping that the ripped from the MSNBC headlines would fade but it's not the case. I'll still watch, but maybe when I get to it rather when the show drops on Sunday. It's painfully disappointing to see a good show die a slow death.
