It's not bad but the lack of simple logic is just bizzare
sevliadis-kostas30 March 2022
I just have one question..was it so tough to stall the train and wait until Alice got there to see if there's actually a safe place and then go there all together? Or do a revolution and come back to find them? I mean it's not like they can't come back.. Besides they've stopped the train couple of times already so it Makes literally 0 sense.

Not a bad way to end a bad season though..

High marks....

....for the near perfect season finale.

Lots of story arcs getting resolved or concluded, which is a must in a tv series, and a nice little cliffhanger to keep us invested enough to tune in next year. What more could you want?

People complaining that everything was tied up too quickly, forget that this is a tv series with a set number of episodes and would themselves complain if story arcs were not concluded.

Personally, after once saying that the story was told in the movie and I couldn't see where they could get more out of this, am now happy to say I was wrong.

I'm really enjoying this and very much looking forward to seeing where the writers will take it in Season 4.

A Well-Deserved End for a dull season
jimmyishere-3774829 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What an end huh?! Full of emotion, plot twists and action. Really loved that Layton found what he's been looking for all this time. Melanie also got back to the engine as she is leading Snowpiercer now.

However I didn't like the final scene for some reason; I felt that it didn't make sense, when Melanie saw the rocket launch. The transition from reality to that comic texture was rushed and sudden.

But overall the episode is a 9.5/10 - Looking forward for their next adventure. See you all in 2023 (hopefully)...

BEST FINALE EVER...
Patlipvillage4 April 2022
This is what i was expecting. Not even me but every execrator was expecting that they will find a place warmer and have life but MELANIE's decision was scary as they could wait for the train and when they come back whether there life yes or not then over together but nevertheless a great ending...

I think that's the perfect decision for ending the war and let the people know everything and take a real action to decide and choose without bad policy ore by force I hope that the real world shall be like this.

Rushed finale
JamesR197329 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Not really sure what to make of this season finale.

One minute Melanie has taken over the train, then she is battling against Leyton, then she joins forces with Wilfred, but then she joins up with Leyton and before you know it Wilfred is on that little train in exile, Leyton and Melanie have agreed a compromise and everyone hugs.

All this seems to happen in about the first 20 minutes. The hugging takes up another 10 minutes and the train split/new Eden reveal is all wrapped up in the last 10. Throw in LJ choking on an eye ball and some weird explosion at the end and it all seems a little bizarre.

What I don't get is why they wasted a few episodes on filler this season when they could have easily have utilised some of these for the finale. In addition, it's frustrating that Jennifer Connelly is only in it sporadically. It's definitely better when she's in it, but it seems odd that one of the stronger performers just pops up towards the end of the season.

Snowpiercer was never that great even from the beginning, but it had enough to keep my interest in S1 and the addition of Sean Bean in S2 kept it further - but now it seems a little all over the place. Not really sure where it will go in S4.

More or less good episode SPOILER
nolan22331 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
You have to see it this way: it's a good episode to get rid of Layton for good. The actor Daveed Diggs single handedly reduced the quality of the entire show drastically, now it's a very good chance for the show to cut him out of the new season. Please director and writers of the show, listen to your community and do what almost everyone hopes for: Get rid of Daveed Diggs! If we get to see him again in the next season, I'm out for good!

Season Three Review
southdavid21 July 2022
Whilst I've never really considered it as being top tier television, I have watched the previous two seasons of "Snowpiercer" and never seriously considered giving it up, despite the premise already being stretched pretty thin. That's pretty much the case with this third season too, but I'm glad to hear that the end of the show is in sight now.

With the train split in two, the bulk of the survivor's toil on Wilford's (Sean Bean) Big Alice, struggling to survive the cold conditions and the lack of resources. Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs) and his team on Snowpiercer are following the data Melanie sacrificed herself for but, as yet, aren't finding any signs of recovery. Having found a survivor by pure chance though, and reconnected the trains, Layton uses her and the continued idea of a warmer climate to convince the passengers to follow him.

Having lost one of its stars, with Jennifer Connelly departing the train FOR SCIENCE! At the end of the last season, Snowpiercer provides another season that has its moments, but is largely filler in the continuing saga of Wilfred against Layton. Even with him neutered for some of the season, the story has little else in its arsenal other than his inevitable resurrection. This season sees us also, sadly, lose another of the show's main stars, with Steven Ogg departing midway though (and in a storyline that felt hurried - as if the actor had another commitment to move on to).

Again, to describe the show as a chore is too harsh, it's fine but it's mined its premise for all it's worth and the decision to end the show following the next season is, for me, the right one. That said, the finale does end by offering us at least half of a new idea for that next season.

ending that reminded me of a fairy tale
qmvhqcdy29 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Why does everything in this episode happen so fast? A tedious season that wanted to solve all its problems in the last episode. That "dramatic" arrival in the new eden was shameful. Rushed episode, cliché and full of simplistic solutions.

The promising show ended up in trashcan
the_real_kamilla29 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What did I just watch? How can 8-9 star show go to 1 star during just one series? And I though Ouroborous was a bad episode.. The season 3 has been utterly s**t and the season finale is the crown of it all. The plot is stupid, or maybe I should say, there is no plot, just random actions from actors who look like they couldn't care less anymore. Half of the episode is just forced relationship conversations between every couple the train contains and people change mood even faster than main characters backstab each others. I don't even know what to think about the characters anymore. They all lost they identities during season 3 and are just collections of random ideas. I wonder will the season 4 be about the annoying Layton playing Tarot card in the warm spot colony or about the mentalcake-Melanie dodging explosions from the sky when aliens are attacking. Anyways I'm not gonna watch it. This was enough for me. The series belong to a trashcan with this season finale.

Lanw writing ! Pathetic .

A lesson on how to destroy a really great show with loads of promise. The must have been on drugs whilst writing Season 3. They have committed genocide on this show. It makes no sense anymore. A sinking ship .

Burn it all and don't look back
alexandarcrni-8719929 March 2022
This is just plain ridiculous. Talk, talk, talk, more closeups, 2 minutes of not even decent action, talk, talk, closepus, closeups, empty talk, empty talk. I will watch next season, first 10 minutes of first episode and last 10 minutes of season finale. The whole show can be watched as a sinopsis before the last episode. We can now see the patern they are using. At the end of each season finale they will do some weak plot twist and then use that to talk, talk, talk the entire next season.

Trademark Netflix show ender
kiwired52 April 2022
Great series through three seasons, with a typical 'wrap things up make sure the shows finished. Abruptly. This means tying up loose threads and plot lines, picking an ending for all characters (naughty and nice) and then delivering on plot, dialogue and emotion in a single episode. Too quick Netflix, too quick.

Like the show but....
dallasmcintyre5 April 2022
.....the filming is terrible. Whose idea is it to pit that weird filter on the cameras?

It's dark enough as it is without adding another layer.. I'm actually enjoying the commercials as it brightens the show.
