Sookie doing relationship counseling with Alcide? Hmmmmmmmmmm...

Bill calls Sookie and blows her off. It's obviously false...but ironically, everything he tells her is the truth. That's the problem with True Blood -- everything has gotten so twisted around, it's lost it's believability.

Sam goes off after Tommy and finds Melinda and Joe Lee's van in his parking lot. He bangs on the van; Melinda opens the door and tells him they got evicted and have nowhere to go.

Lorena: "Wow...that was the best sex I've had in decades". (OK...some of the humor returneth...) On the flip side...I think it's fair to say that Lorena REALLY doesn't get it -- Bill's just not into you, sweetheart.

Eric has a dream/vision of Sookie while Yvetta pole dances for him. When he comes back to the present it's obvious, even to Yvetta, that he's bored. Now...I could be wrong...but I think boredom is a major key to the whole vampire existence. They live so long that everything becomes redundant after a while. Wealth...power...sexuality...wars...it all runs together for them. And I think it's also a reflection of Alan Ball's life as well, because his boredom is coming through in spades the longer TB continues.

Sookie meets Alcide's sister Janice, a great makeup artist, who's going to get Sookie ready to go to Lou Pine's looking really tough. Jason sees the latest QB star at Merlotte's, Kitch Maynard, where Bud happens to be having his retirement party. Bill plays his ace-in-the-hole and tells Russell (His Majesty) that he believe Sophie-Ann (The Queen) is the one behind Eric's selling of "V", because the IRS is eating away at her fortune. Franklin courts Tara. (OK..."courts" is a bit sarcastic. But hey...it's Tara.) Sam hires Jessica to be a hostess at Merlotte's, and Arlene's not pleased that she won't be the only redhead there any more because "people LOVE giving redheads tips". Lafayette's attempt to push the "V" isn't going so well 'til Eric drops by to close the deal. Some guy from Jessica's Bible study class recognizes her, and while she's glamouring him to make him forget, Hoyt sees her, and looks sad.

Meanwhile...Franklin is moving right along with Tara. He's a guy that doesn't seem to be afraid of commitments. In fact, he seems to have decided that Tara is his, and that's that. (Unfortunately for Tara, he's not really the democratic "consensus" type.)

Fangtasia gets raided by the magister who finds the stash of "V". Eric and Pam try to pin the blame on Bill. Time will tell how that works out.

His Majesty appears at Lou Pine's, where he provides his blood for them to all do a shot, while Bill, who told His Majesty that he was good at procuring, is in a strip club...procuring. The dancer he chooses has this to say: "I know the truth about life. It's a hell I'll never get out of alive." Meanwhile...Alcide's ex-girlfriend Debbie gets branded with the "Operation Werewolf" mark. The alliance between werewolves and vampires, and the connection to Nazi Germany, if quite interesting.

Finally...Russell (His Majesty), Lorena, and Bill have an A.Y.C.E. buffet with the dancer, while Damien Rice's "9 Crimes" plays into the credits.

An uneven episode, but more interesting than the previous one, IMO.

Warning: Spoilers
(S3. E4) My Live Reaction / Review for True Blood Season 3 Episode 4 ''9 Crimes''. Episode 3 was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Bill wants to end his relationship with Sookie? What the hell is going on? I feel so bad for Sookie, she doesn't deserve this. It seems like this is the perfect time for Eric to maybe start a relationship with Sookie? This Franklin vampire is a total psycho, what does he want from Tara? Eric saves Lafayette, that's awesome. The Magister found the V? That's bad for Eric. Eric lies about Bill to save himself? What a coward. Overall a good episode, my rating is 8.6/10.

I'm not sure how the "sex scene" in this episode didn't break the internet because I laughed for a good 30 minutes after seeing that. Hard to take the show seriously at this point.
