Back to filler
wmallonee23 July 2021
Unfortunately, especially considering the ending to the last episode, the batch are off on another side quest for Cid. It's still entertaining, but I'm anxious to see where the conflict with Crosshair goes, and this episode didn't give us that.

Infested (with filler episodes)
Trey_Trebuchet29 August 2021
I didn't think this was all that bad. I found the cave stuff to be pretty intense and entertaining. There were a few good laughs too. I do agree with everyone saying that Omega probably calls the shots a bit too often. It's nice to have a new character to make these guys question their morals, but all they only seem to do what she wants to do. Filler episodes are okay, I'd like to see more conflict with these characters.

Solid Episode
bencopping24 July 2021
What I love most about this show, isn't the huge fan-service cinematic episodes, nor the call backs to characters from The Clone Wars; what I adore about this show is how every episode, even the less story relevant ones like this, are incredibly engaging, and hold multiple layers of lessons and morals, as well as branching each character's arc even further, especially Omega, whom grows as a character exponentially every single episode.

I've seen countless other reviews claiming this specific episode is a so-called 'filler', in which I strongly disagree with. No way an episode with this much character, world, and story building can be a 'filler episode', and if I'm wrong, then bring on more fillers!!!!

Better episode

Episode that just not only show the strength of Bad Batch but also how good Cid is emotionally. I liked Cid in this episode better than before.

This is a perfectly pleasant and well put together episode with some fun action. The problem is thst it is another inconsequential filler in a series with already too much filler.

The Bad Batch go into action to help their business associate Cid who has been ousted by a criminal.

Not bad but just not really containing any notable substance.

Joining up with the Pikes
ha77y73ad9723 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
With the arrival of the Spike syndicate on Ord Mantell will cause any sort of an issue, especially for the Bad Batch.

With the Trandoshan turning up on the Havoc Marauder and explaining that a new scoundrel under the name of Roland Durand has taken control of the system with vital hyperspace lane access for smuggling. With a plan to ruin the latest shipment from the pikes this seems to be where the story is picking up.

And after that moment is where the episode gets its name from to how under the earth there's a specifies that sounds very similar to a Geonosian! If these have moved planet then some more clone wars action could be on the cards. But its not to be some other flying variant that apart of the wider star wars galaxy!

WIth the bad deal sorted in a very boring way and Roland Durand getting the same treatment as Cikatro Vizago with a horn cut off.

Overall very boring filler episode that really won make a dent in any of the overarching stories!

Stop waiting for characters you know to show up and appreciate the worldbuildling
davidkippy23 July 2021
This was a fun episode with the great comic relief character Cid at the forefront. I loved seeing the Pyke syndicate and Roland was a pretty good addition to the episode.

Not that bad, but has its wtf moments.
Uzer_error4049 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
For the most part, this isn't a bad episode, but there are some out-of-character moments. The biggest one is the Bad Batch agreeing to leave Omega in the club with the Pykes, who are the Star Wars equivalent of the Central American Drug Cartels. So... Yeah, let's just leave Omega here with these guys who torture and kill your entire family over lost payments.

To get the spice, they didn't even need every member of the Bad Batch to do so. Cid, Tech, and Hunter could have easily done the job whilst Echo and Wrecker could have stayed behind to watch Omega. That's just my two cents.

It's just eh.
nozarus23 July 2021
I really liked this show, every episodes great. But some have filler like this one. It is to the point where if you remove this episode, the story can still go on, it will still be the same as nothing major happens.

The introduction of a new character was nice though, I'll give you that.

People nere to chill - enjoyable episode!
Cyberbeard23 July 2021
I love the Bad Batch so much. Not every episode needs to be complete fan service or push the main plot forward. If the show is to have any longevity they need to have these little side-quests as well. If you think back on Clone Wars, there were lots of those, such as Padmé's diplomatic missions. It's great world building and lets us get to know these characters.

I'm happy just seeing the BB interact with each other, meet new people and visit all sorts of places. It's kind of like watching an old Saturday morning cartoon. Omega is a real inspiration as well. Seeing her grow is so rewarding!

Fillers Can Be Good Too
lebanesejedi23 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode overall wasn't terrible. The initial shock at the tavern, then the suspense and tension when traversing the mines, the introduction of a new character and finally the confrontation with the Pikes. These were all great ideas but I honestly find it could have probably been executed better. I feel like for an episode that's supposed to make you feel tense there were way too many instances where they are just walking, with no music, and no thought but maybe to fill up those 20 or so minutes. I feel like camera movements and different shots are severely under utilized in this show except maybe the Premiere and the Bracca episodes. I also honestly have found, since the start of the show, that the dialogue is too slow and very unnatural (albeit that most of the characters are voiced by the same person) and unfortunately it is messing up with the tempo of the episode (tense yet everyone is calm with entire seconds in between each cue?). Not to compare, though I'm gonna do it anyway, but dialogue in Rebels was a heck of a hell more fluid and natural. It didn't matter if the animation was cheap, the dialogue kept things going. I feel here we have the opposite going on.

Anyway, there was so much potential to make this better but I don't know what's holding them back. Hoping that the few remaining episodes get better. We're so near the end, could there actually be more fillers? I hope not.

Infested
kaden_lewis24 July 2021
After having a streak of great episodes in a row, we went back to a filler for this episode. It wasn't horrible, but compared to the last few episodes, this one doesn't compete. This episode was still good, it was basically a heist episode where Cid needed to break in and steal Spice from someone who took over her cantina so he couldn't give it to the Pykes. The story was kind of weird, and the heist scene wasn't anything special, but this was still a decent episode. A show isn't a show without its filler episodes.

Only 3 episodes left, I can't wait to see what is in store!

Completely pointless
SHU_Movies24 July 2021
We ended last episode where we ended this episode. Nothing happened of any consequence at all. Just a waste of one of the show's final episodes. Hopefully this is the last filler episode of the show.

I do not see this episode as any better or worse than the other so-called "filler episodes" it was perfectly fine in my opinion I'm not sure why people rate it so poorly compared to the others maybe by this point they were just bored of the "filler episodes" and craving some plot forwarding action?

Copy of 2nd arc/Clone Wars S7
geos-161371 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The hole story is more or less the same with that of the second arc of the CW final season. Steal spice, get rid of spice, leave someone behind, go get the spice. Not very creative and surely not original. Just "ok".

This was a good episode, the Pykes are some of my favorite species especIally dating back to all the clone wars arcs with them. This episode wasn't the best, but I still enjoyed it.

The last two episodes started with:
joejetloky26 July 2021
The last two episodes started with: Hunter: it's none of our business, let's go our way.

Omega: but we have to do it Hunter: okay

The Bad Batch doesn't really decide anything anymore - all decisions are made by Cid and Omega.

I thought it's impossible, but disney made it - there is a Star Wars series that is just 'meh' for me.

Btw. 1 - Echo could have just pull up the ship... Btw. 2 - Omegas accent is the most annoying thing since 'They took my son...'.

Second Weakest of the animated shows (Possible Spoilers)
navien8331 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Bad Batch is probably the worst of the animated shows except for Resistance. I am current in this show and and it goes downhill after Ep 1. Ep 1 was the best episode so far and it wasn't much better than the rest. The three main things that ruin this show are: Omega, the plot, and the villains.

The idea of Omega doesn't bother me. What does is she is very annoying everytime she's in the show. They could have done something better with this character, but she ends up being a buffoon and babysat the whole time.

The plot is generic and boring. Omega gets into trouble, Bad Batch has to get her back, move to another planet and repeat. For 14 episodes so far. It's lame. They add in characters from Rebels and Clone Wars, but it just seems like they're doing this for views and it adds nothing to the plot.

The villains are weak and generic. A few gangsters and generic Star Wars villains and the main "villain" doesn't add or do anything for the show.

Overall pretty disappointed at this show after Rebels, Clone Wars, Mando, etc. Pretty weak entry and honestly shouldn't get a season 2. Filoni missed the target with this one.

Once again, nothing happens.
FestusNord24 July 2021
What can I say about this show? It never fails to let me down. Outside of the first episode, it's a waste of your time. But "world building" and "it's a 16 episode season", right? Those excuses worked before the halfway point of the season, now it's just clear and depressing: nothing's going to happen. I gave 3 stars for animation, sound and acting but, story-wise, I leave a pile of better writing in the toilet every morning.

After set of amazing episodes we get this.

Does it have action? It does. Is it compelling? No it isn't.

The setup is mediocre, motivations are mediocre and the result is mediocre.

Some of this series's filler I tolerate. Here I just go why.
arandomperson-71028 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Why does this episode exist? There's not even Omega Character development. I get they want to do worldbuilding, which is better than the sequel trilogy, but honestly, this was just boring.
