As cute as its subject

At 8 minutes total(with or without credits), this is the second-to-briefest piece of extra feature(of the ones that have their own pages here on the site) on the 2-Disc DVD of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, found there since it's a making-of documentary about the short movie(which is, indeed, the least long one) they made during the shoot of that, featuring its cast and crew, albeit several of their roles are reversed, with Sean Astin directing it, Andy Serkis working his way up the ladder and having nothing to do with FX, Peter Jackson having a cameo, etc. It consists of behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with aforementioned(it seems they spoke to nearly everyone who worked on it). We get part of the story(and not the one from the intro when watching the finished product) of how it came to be, some observations about the different roles of working on a film, and a little amusement through some "not-at-all-staged" exchanges and situations, where some of them are "taking it too seriously", and pretending it's not merely a tiny piece made during a break from putting together the massive epic. I recommend this to anyone who enjoyed "The Long and Short of It". 7/10
