Aya Sugimoto sizzles on screen again
J_Charles21 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Aya Sugimoto is at it again in this hard to find erotically charged movie about a woman, her lover, and lots and lots of sex. The write ups that say this is another version of "Realm of the Senses" are wrong. Even though I don't understand a word of Japanese it was readily apparent that the story lines were completely different.

This one centres on a photographer who is asked to photograph Sugimoto. They seem to have a connection that includes trysts from past lives and they are instantly in complete lust with each other. Not knowing what is being said is confusing enough but watching flashbacks, flash forwards, and then the floating head of an old guy that is watching while Sugimoto is being pleasured during an erotic oil massage is quite confusing.

The sex scenes are very erotic but as with most Japanese films, the blurring is there to keep all pubic areas out of sight. Sugimoto is the sexiest actress in Japan and she really looks into it. For those of you looking for more S&M type scenes (similar to her Flower & Snake films), there is one in this film but Sugimoto is not in it. Not sure what that scene was about either.

The film work seems to be fairly decent, especially when the overall budget is taken into account. The main reason to see this is Aya Sugimoto.
