- TriviaThis episode's title "From Unknown Graves" is a quote from the abolitionist poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem, "The Witnesses", from his book "Poems on Slavery". Specifically the final stanza: These are the woes of Slaves; They glare from the abyss; They cry, from unknown graves, "We are the Witnesses!"
- Quotes
First Officer Kava: [Grabs Ed's hand] Stop. Your hands are soft. I like soft hands.
[to Kelly]
First Officer Kava: Do you use this one for mating?
Cmdr. Kelly Grayson: No. I mean... I don't.
First Officer Kava: I would mate with this one. Would you lend him to me for the evening?
Cmdr. Kelly Grayson: He's not mine to lend.
First Officer Kava: Well then. No one will object if I take him.
Dr. Claire Finn: Yes, we all would. Men are not commodities, they have rights.
First Officer Kava: I do not understand. Either he is yours to lend or not. If you have no claim to him, I will exert one. He will attend to me this evening.
Cmdr. Kelly Grayson: That is not how it works here.
Lt. Gordon Malloy: I'll do it.
I enjoyed it thoroughly, in over 70 minutes length. Some complain that was predictable - yes, I expected that final getting along since first episode of this season - and that was good for my heart :-)
Best what some movie/TV show can do - humor, very hard being interaction issues, about need for love ...
Seth, you are genius.
