A hilarious episode, every sketch is great, one of the top shows in series history.
A "Sunrise Semester" has Robin Duke as Veronica Swansong, an elderly former actress who tries to talk about glamour. She is a wrinkled old woman who can barely stand up, she has an English accent but does not appear to be based on any particular real life person. Duke is very funny here.
Edith Prickley has a funny promo for the "Sammy Maudlin Show".
Great White North has Doug talking a mile a minute and does not let Bob get a word in. Bob then tells him that the cameras weren't rolling.
Dave Thomas plays the host of a game show "Stretch Your Arm", contestant Joe Flaherty tries to withstand having his arm stretched to a great length in order to win money.
Tony Rosato plays Ronny Barrett, sports reporter. He is an effeminate male version of gossip columnist Rona Barrett. He has some funny tidbits about Mean Joe Greene, Tommy LaSorda and Dave The Hammer Schultz, one of the goon squad of the Philadelphia Flyers. Ronny gets frightened by some crashing noises off stage.
Flaherty does a hilarious impression of Gregory Peck playing the Travis Bickle part in "Taxi Driver". This was a running gag in the series with different actors doing the mirror scene from the film, this may be the best one.
Rick Moranis does a commercial for Totacontrol, a device which controls everything in the house. His family complains it is messing everything up, it also starts a fire.
Guy attempts to give a special message but the announcer keeps messing up his name. The announcer gets giddy and an angry Guy calls the whole thing off.
Then we get one of the greatest Sammy Maudlin shows as he welcomes Bobby Bittman to his stage. Bittman tries some prop comedy with a huge telephone but is interrupted by a surprise appearance by Bob Hope. Hope is plugging his new special "I Owe Peking $2,000", which he did in China. After a few jokes which Sammy has some hilarious knee slapping, Bob has some clips of outtakes from his special. Many funny moments of Bob trying come up with jokes to make the Chinese laugh. After Bob leaves Bittman tries his telephone bit again but then is interrupted by Danny Thomas (Rosato). Bittman takes a spit take from Danny followed by a freeze frame as the credits roll. A voice over is heard when Bobby tries to complain to Guy about this.
