Astonishingly Good!

Warning: Spoilers
Two boys, one of them is KC Martel, so you can follow where that is going to go, decide they don't like a teacher, Mr. Little (the grossly underused and under-appreciated Richard Sanders), so they set out to play little pranks on him, but Mr. Little always manages to rise above each joke. In the end, the jokes backfire, endangering the boys and Guess Who! - has to come to their rescue.

Essentially a remake, tho not entirely the same, as the Kim Richards' After School Special, The Horrible Honchos, Joke on Mr. Little has one astonishingly redeeming quality (bearing in mind I haven't seen it since it aired) and that is definitely Sanders.

Fresh from the cancellation of WKRP, Little was quite the strike-out character Sanders needed. When the boys get a pair of his boxers with his name sewn in the label and then one of the boys is trapped under the tarp with the statue and the boxers when the tarp goes up, revealing boy, boxers and statue to everyone, Mr. Little gets the boy and the boxers away from the statue, then calmly says next time they should have gotten his shorts with the hearts on them, would have been funnier.

Like the ABC After School Specials, the weekend specials, while considered below the after school specials, will clearly eventually find an audience as well.

Will be surprised if this one isn't among those in demand.
