This one, one of the most remembered episodes of the Thundercats, tells the story of the confrontation between Lion-0 using the Sword of Omens and Mumm-ra disguised as King Arthur wielding Excalibur.
The Thundercats have a lot of references to old tales, myths, and traditions: from Egyptian to Japanese and from old American to British and Celtic. Nevertheless, this episode can be the best of the ones that are based in a previous myth and include the Thundercats in it.
Within this story we will see Lion-0 fighting against a disguised Mumm-ra but also Excalibur against the Sword of Omens: Sword against Sword. My favorite part of this is that when Merlin had to intervene,(IMO) Merlin appeared from the Sword in a similar fashion that the Thundercats seem to be one with their sword at many levels (like feeling sick when their sword was fatally wounded). Mysterious details like this make the show much more interesting.
