This film made for French television was shown recently on a cable channel. Not knowing anything about it, we decided to take a chance. This is a production that with a cast change and with English spoken could well be an American made film. There are elements in the story that are typical of films made by Hollywood.
Start with the stars. We are given two good looking actors that appear at ease with one another, which is the case with the beautiful Michelle Laroque and the handsome Thierry Neuvic. They meet at an airport trying to pull the same piece of luggage. One thing leads to another and before we realize they have fallen head over heels with one another. The only problem is they have not told each other who they really are. When that occurs, they realize they have been deceived in believing all was good between them.
Laurence Katrian directed the comedy which is enjoyable and pleasant on the eyes. Ms. Laroque and Mr. Neuvic do excellent work in making the viewer believe they are the sophisticated characters both were asked to play. Also in the cast, Dominic Gould, Manu Payet and the late Helene Surgere who as Marguerite gives the film a touch of class.
