In Search of... "Psychic Detectives" (1977)

This episode of the famous series takes a look at police investigations and how some detectives are allowing psychics to help in their investigation. We get to hear from a couple psychics who help explain their stories and we hear about a couple cases where they were able to help locate bodies.

For the most part this is a pretty good episode that at least manages to hold your attention from start to finish. The episode offers up a couple interesting cases and those interviewed are good enough to keep you glued into what they're saying. It should go without saying but if you're a skeptic of psychics then I doubt anything here is going to change your mind.

Unsolved Mysteries

Another effective and eerie episode that exemplifies the matter-of-fact, no nonsense style and approach of this series, which profiles the cases of unsolved mysteries/murders that ordinary people with reputed psychic abilities find themselves called upon either by the police, or their own conscience, to investigate, and sometimes the results would be frustrating and disappointing, but not always. Quite memorable and stylish, this episode may well have later influenced the even more popular docudrama series 'Unsolved Mysteries', hosted by Robert Stack, which often profiled its own psychic detectives in much similar fashion and approach, though it did have a longer run!
