THE OATH is an important film on the Mau Mau

I saw "THE OATH" and enjoyed it very much. The film helps keep the memory alive of the Mau Mau fighters who fought for Kenya's independence against British Imperialism. The story is good, could use some work, there was more there that need to be shown, but overall I found it to be an accurate picture of what was happening at the time.

I commend the filmmakers for producing such a creative and well-produced film with no budget and all volunteer actors in the difficult conditions in Kenya. I could only imagine that they could do a very excellent film with a bigger budget.I only wish the film to be longer, but THE OATH is a good first step. We need to see more films that help preserve the memory of the Mau Mau.

Long live the Mau Mau!
