Simple and touching drama about a lonely man getting a grip on life again when he befriends a young boy. Not an especially good film, but due to Christian Redl's characterization of the man still rewarding viewing and there are a couple of amazingly beautiful scenes, like the one in which the inspector of police (very good part of Rolf Zacher) and the man sit opposite each other revealing the most inner thoughts and emotions.
