This show featured Lisa Rhyne as an upcoming actress, singer, model and the featured spokesperson for Check-a-Mate. One of the owners of Check-a-Mate, Jerry Palace, was on the show along with a couple who hired Lisa Rhyne thru Check-a-Mate. Oprah and the audience were very interested in the entire process from start to finish as well as how Lisa came to work for the company. Lisa described her experiences, how she views it as role-playing as well as what she does to disguise herself on sting operations. Many sting operations are successful the first time and accomplish the client's request to discover if their significant other is unfaithful. Usually it only requires one meeting between the decoy and the targeted individual. Armed detectives always accompany the decoy to insure the decoy's safety as well as serve as an eye witness that everything was handled properly and the decoy has performed their job to the code of ethics set out by the company. The detectives are also wired for audio and video for the client's review and for the file. It is much less expensive than surveillance which could take days, weeks or months. The only time a decoy is not as effective is if the suspected mate is actually in an additional relationship outside of the marriage (i.e. having an affair). This is a very precise and swift means to get some answers.
