The late Julee Cruise played the Queen of Hearts in this stage adaptation at the Children's Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the early eighties. I will be honest that I don't think the production will hold up to today's audiences. Julee Cruise is nearly unrecognizable with dark hair. She disappeared into the role. It's not a musical. The actress who placed Alice did an admirable job by being on stage for the entire performance. Minneapolis has a vital and vibrant theatrical community. Wendy Lehr did an admirable job as the white rabbit. Too bad, they don't make these productions accessible to the mass public.

One of the best portrayals of the timeless classic.

Out of every movie ever made about "Alice in Wonderland" this is definitely my favorite. I remember watching this movie when I was a child. It was forever etched in my mind. To me this is truly the best Alice movie around.
