Two primary focuses. The story of Jack and Nicky continues. Jack is determined to save his brother, but the drug addled kid with monumental PTSD doesn't seem to want to live (or be helped). The fact that Jack found him is pretty amazing. Back to contemporary times, we are with Kate and Toby. The whole thing with the action figures and the sell-off is both sad and humorous. The guy who bought the box was quite a piece of work. Kevin continues to seek out information about his dad and in the process, it is revealed that Nicky never died in Vietnam, but also never revealed himself. The other big story is Randall and his run for city council. I'm curious if he ever used that damning evidence John found against his opponent. It seems unlike him. Beth has been really selfish and now she is going to have to deal with his being a councilman in a district two hours away. We are shown that this is a full time job. Kevin and Zoe continue their relationship. She is damaged like he is. Should be interesting. I'm hoping that nothing happens with the baby. That would put things into a tailspin and possibly destroy two people.
