WM Night 1 Review: WrestleMania Night 1 was underwhelming and forgettable. There were very little moments and matches that I felt would be talked about in the future. This entire event felt like your average RAW or SmackDown. Nothing big or exciting to it. The crowd was dead as well. The biggest highlight on this show was Rhea vs Becky. Sami vs Gunther was also enjoyable. The Lil Wayne, Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson cameos were pretty cool. The biggest low was the USOS match hands down. It was the worst WrestleMania match I've seen in years. The main event started off weak too, but picked up near the end. Nothing on this show is worth going back to in my opinion.
WM Night 2 Review: WrestleMania Night 2 was a major improvement from the previous night. THIS felt like the WrestleMania we know and love. Night 2 starts off with a great opening match with Seth vs Drew, and a shocking moment following the match with Damien Priest cashing in. The main event was great and had a lot of drama. It involved returns of huge legends in the business. Cody dethroning Reigns is already an iconic WM moment. The biggest highlights were Seth vs Drew, Logan vs Owens vs Orton, Bayley vs Iyo Sky and Roman vs Cody. The biggest low for me wasn't even that much of a low, and it would be the street fight with The Pride and The Final Testament. I just was wasn't as into the story as the others. Night 2 had guest commentary from CM Punk and Snoop Dogg, guest refereeing from Bubba Ray Dudley, and a cameo from iShowSpeed. This night felt huge, and lived up to the hype of being the biggest WrestleMania of all time. The crowd was hot the entire night, as opposed to Night 1. Not to mention three MAJOR title changes in one night. This WrestleMania night is sure to be talked about for decades. Night 2 is one of my favourite WrestleManias ever, it's just a shame that Night 1 wasn't as good.
Overall thoughts: I get that having two nights at WrestleMania makes big money and makes room for more workers get a chance to perform at WrestleMania, but it really feels like they put all their time and effort into the second night while the first one was a second thought. The quality difference between both nights is extremely noticeable. I believe the reason for that may also be a cause of having the most important and biggest stories on the Night 2 and the lesser ones on Night 1. Night 1 only had Rhea vs Becky and the tag team match with Rock & Reigns vs Cody & Seth. Night 2 had Cody vs Seth, LA Knight vs AJ Styles, Orton vs Owens vs Logan, Becky vs Iyo Sky and Roman vs Cody. The card was more interesting and had more star-power. I think WWE is better off doing one night only, but we all know that's not going to happen with the amount of success they are having with two nights.
