Great story, meh movie

Warning: Spoilers
As a car enthusiast, I am disappointed, and I am sure many others are too. If you have watched Jeremy Clarkson's mini documentary of the race, you don't have to watch the movie. And if you haven't go and watch it, don't waste your time with the movie. You can clearly see how much of The Grand Tour's documentary was in the movie. SPOILERS AHEAD One of the examples are the lines said by the actors, that were taken out of the documentary or events that happen in the movie and the documentary that never actually happened (director at the end of the movie admits of creating some events that never happened), like how they cheated on the homologation inspection with only half of the cars needed for the actual inspection. The event never actually happened, Lancia delivered all 200 037s. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, copying and creating new scenes and events, my point is just that there is a lot of Grand Tour's documentary in that movie, that was just poorly rewritten and directed. All of the "Hollywood" scenes, that were meant to be exciting or thrilling just don't hit the excitement level you would expect and the end, Lancia's victory was just not exciting at all. It's such a shame.
